Wow! I recently visited N.Y. and while I was there, I tried yoga for the first time. Elizabeth was my teacher. She was fabulous and helped me modify so that I was able to keep up with the rest of the class as it was not a beginners class. Elizabeth gave everyone a lot of personal attention. It put me in a physical and mental state that I had never experienced before. All the stress just drained from my body and mind. B Yoga is an inviting and beautiful studio located in Soho.
Great news for all of us out of towners...Elizabeth is going to offer yoga on dvd soon. I can't wait to get her dvd's. I plan on making it a daily ritual!

I truly can?t say enough positive things about B Yoga. I have practiced yoga sporadically over the years at various studios in NYC and elsewhere, but as soon as I found B Yoga in April 2008 (on Citysearch), I was instantly hooked. I feel like I am going into withdrawal if I don?t show up there 3 or 4x a week. :-) I have taken classes from about 10 of the teachers and they are all consistently excellent: inspiring, safe, challenging (depending upon the class level) ? and it is obvious that they care about their students, as they make an effort to get to know everyone. Won?t mention each teacher individually, but must mention Elizabeth, the founder/owner ? she is fantastic and very passionate about the studio. She sets a welcoming and focused tone.

A few highlights:
-The atmosphere is fun, friendly, low-key and peaceful. I used to get pretty stressed out by the crowds and competition at some other well-known studios in NYC ? none of that here.
-Tons of classes and wide range of levels (from just beginning to very advanced).
-Prices are very reasonable.
-Classes are never overcrowded and the studio seems to attract a really nice community of students.
-Great ?extras? ? B Yoga hosts concerts, workshops, etc. For example, I attended a ?Yoga & Massage? workshop one Sunday evening ? what could be better?! Also the yoga with live music is great? their website is frequently updated with new events.
-The space is serene, light, clean, comfortable ? a gorgeous classic high-ceilinged loft.

My only suggestion ? wish there was a 6:30am class so I could get my ?fix? before work (however there is a daily 7am meditation and 7:30-8:30am practice for days when I can get to work a bit later).

Overall, I highly recommend B Yoga!

Pros: great teachers, friendly environment, lovely studio

I've been taking classes at B Yoga and have started the teacher training program there as well. I have never felt more welcome in a studio than I do there. Elizabeth (the owner and program facilitator) is so knowledgeable and has really put her heart and soul into the studio. The space is open and light, and exudes a calm energy the minute you walk through the door. I've taken classes with 5 teachers, and all are extremely knowledgeable and vigilant, makeing adjustments throughout the class so that you better your own practice. It is a very accepting place, where they encourage you to be as you are, and respect where you are in your practice right now. It's the most inviting studio I've been to here, and I've been to several. It has definitely become my home studio. They have convenient class times throughout the week, which is also helpful for those with a busy schedule. Try it once, you'll keep going back!

I couldn't have found a more warm, inviting, and relaxed yoga studio as B Yoga. I feel very lucky to have become part of the studio, and furthering my yoga training with Elizabeth. I have received a certification in Pre-Natal yoga with her, and learned so much in a very informative, nonjudgmental, and educational environment. Learning about Pre-Natal yoga with Elizabeth was fun, informative, and I feel very confident teaching after this course. Women who are pregnant, or not, should come here to take these classes with friendly, respectful and mindful teachers. All in all, this studio with it's fantastic instructors and warm-hearted and knowledgeable owner has it all! Atmosphere is kind, two very roomy clean studio rooms, and I enjoy going back every time. Plus B Yoga has great lil products and other yoga accessories to be purchased. :) Om Shanti Shanti Shanti...

Pros: variety of classes, instructors, great vibe, clean, near MTA

.

This yoga studio is amazing. I've been to three classes, with three different instructors (Elizabeth, Marisa, and Gabriella) and each session has been a fantastic experience. The vibe is warm and welcoming, and there's a great balance in the classes between working hard, getting great coaching and adjusting, as well as spending time in restorative poses and letting your hard work "sink in". I've been to several studios in New York City over the past 2 years, and have had many positive experiences, but I've found my practice "home" in B Yoga. I am so grateful to the teachers and look forward to building my practice with them.

Pros: Great teachers, beautiful studio, convenient location

.

I really enjoy coming to take class at B Yoga downtown! Just walk through the door and you can sense the good energy in the space. It does help that the place is beautiful, with light and airy studios, and a reception area that makes you feel at home right away. The best part about B Yoga, though, is their instructors and classes. I have found every teacher to be knowledgeable about poses and supportive. I take Marisa's beginner class often and I love her light approach, voice and creative pose sequences. Class sizes are small so you get personalized attention.
The studio is conveniently located at Broadway and Canal, and they have classes all day. I highly recommend B Yoga

Pros: teachers, location, small class size, prices

.

This is the place to be whether you're a beginner or an advanced yogi each class has it?s own unique reciepe and the teachers are always creative. You feel like you've pushed yourself and yet you still feel that calm aura on a physical as well as spiritual level. After each class I can feel my practice evolving and a feeling of lightness which keeps me going back for more. All the teachers are great! I especially enjoy Elizabeth's class her voice is like a sweet melody that intoxicates you as you go through your practice, encouraging and accepting both at the same time. She?s great! And there is always something new to learn. The studio is clean and spacious and there's a lot of light. Very reasonable and alot of personal attention. Im looking forward to my next class as I write this review!

Pros: Creative, Spacious, Clean, Great teachers, Good Value

.

I love this studio. It is an oasis. Every teacher I have taken a class with has been excellent, challenging, rigorous creative and safe. The classes are usually pretty small so they give tons of feedback; both verbal and physical adjustments. My practice has improved so much by taking classes here regularly.

I really do l love taking classes at B Yoga. I've been practicing for a little over a year now and have been to most of the studios in NYC, and I have to say, no studio is like B Yoga. When walking in to the studio, I feel as if I'm walking into a beautiful living room. The decor and friendly teachers make this studio so welcoming and enjoyable to practice yoga. I've taken classes from a couple different teachers here and have been very pleased with all of them, especially Elizabeth's class. I really would recommend this studio. Even though it opened not too long ago, I know it's going to be big and soon!

Really beautiful large space, excellent knowledgeable instructors, and a really convenient schedule with so many not crowded classes. The prices are very low for what you get and the packages are a great buy. I highly recommend it.
