Overview – in business since 1991www.edndesign.com Edward David Nieto is the founder of Nieto Design Group, Inc., which he established in 1991. Edward received his extensive Education from some of the nation's premier design and architectural institutions such as Temple University, Philadelphia college of Art, and the University of Miami School of Architecture. Edward Nieto is the creator of the sophisticated SoBe and Mad.65 collections of furniture lines. He has worked on many prestigious and remarkable design projects that include the set design for the Greater Miami Opera Company, The Miami segment of the 1992 blockbuster motion picture "The Body Guard" and various others. Edward has also been featured on several television segments, magazine, newspapers and industry periodicals. Edward has a lifelong passion for traveling and enjoys exploring and learning from other cultures. This along with his education and inherent talent has prepared him to work with clients of varied cultural backgrounds. Edward strives to provide every client with the individual attention needed in order to create and design an architectural environment that reflects their own tastes, interests and lifestyles. In learning as much about his clients as possible, Edward aspires to in some small way expose his clients to new designs and concepts that perhaps they would otherwise have never thought possible. Edward has been named "Designer of the Year" on 3 different occasions, along with 1st place for the State of Florida for best kitchen design for Sub-Zero manufacturer. He has being inducted into the Smithsonian Institute's Corporate Hewitt Wing Hall of fame and named one of the best 20 Best Latin American Designers. He has been featured in cover stories in major publications all over the world and has been a guest speaker for mayor designer publications and organizations where he has spoken extensively on his design work and custom furniture collections such as the SOBE and MAD Collections that he conceptualized in the early 90's.
