My building said they were going to take up to five days to fix an air conditioning issue, and I was not willing to soak in my own sweat (thermostat hit 90?), so I used Servicemagic.com and American Best Home Services, Inc. got back to me within minutes...after 8:00 p.m.. They were here by 9:15 p.m. and fixed my issue by 10:00 p.m.. I couldn't have been happier.

A little expensive perhaps, but you get what you pay for. We had not had our units serviced for at least 7 years so we needed a general tune up to both our large units. The technicians were extremely professional and polite.

The gas company not only shut down our gas after a leak, but had placed a lock box at the gas meter. When that happens, you need plumbers with specialized equipments to do pressure testing in order to identify the leak locations. They are one of the few places that can do that and they came to do the job on Christmas Eve, which allowed us to have hot water and heating again that night!
