I have had the greatest experience with John's Natural Dog Training Company. John has personnally had private lessons with both my puppies. I have seen a world of difference with them. I have called him with questions and he has called me back with great advice that has worked. I would and have recommended this company for dog training. Very happy.

The most experienced and reliable - don't believe bad reviews. I have trained my last 3 dogs with this company and they have always been excelent. I have worked with John and Denelle and have aways had a great time.

We participated in the 6-week beginning training program with our four month old puppy. The techniques were based on the dogs natural instincts and used only a leash and the owner to train--no dependency on treats or bribes. The trainer was experienced, helpful, and friendly. This program trained our puppy quickly and without much frustration.

The last two reviewers are bogus. First, johnknowsdogs most expensive training package is not $600.00. I was offered three package choices and this price was not one of them. Also, he never names the trainer and they have 4 I think; if it does not makes sense it is usually not true. Johnknowsdogs.com training agreement is specific. They have a very good refund policy if you are not happy. Besides, whats wrong with this guy calling if he has not heard from them? They have always returned my calls the same day! My minimum visit was always 30 minutes with most sessions lasting around 45 minutes. My sessions got longer as my dog got older. All programs have included unlimited group classes and they have several locations. I attend 3 of them even now and I have completed my private lessons. For the second reviewer - johnknowsdogs does not recommend choke chains and I NEVER saw one being used. Their website even discourages them which is why I chose them in the first place. They let me the pick the collar I wanted to use. My dog did great with their training just on a buckle collar although many customers I see use a good dog collar or limited slip for their pups. But, if a client wants to use a gentle leader or german prong collar it is ALWAYS their choice. This is one of the first things we discussed in class. So as I said, I am positive these two reviewers are fake - probably competition. If you want to know the truth go visit one of John's Natural classes. There always seems to be an audience. I watched the Acacia class (and agility class) before I decided.

Paid $600 for the highest package. Only showed for 3 sessions then the holidays hit, no show, no calls. Doesn't even stay for the full hour aprox. 15-25 mins the most... WTH?! Not worth it go else where!

I took a puppy class at the San Diego Humane Society where I learned positive reinforcement training, so when I enrolled in a class at John's I was shocked and unhappy when I was asked to use a choke chain on my dog. I know choke chains are still around but positive reinforcement training is so much more dog friendly and effective that it is just unnecessary to use these old-style tools. I couldn't - wouldn't do this to my dog. I found a trainer in Escondido that I liked much better on the San Diego dog trainers list.

I was very pleased with John's Natural Dog Training's classes. I am a private client with lifetime access to group classes. I have trained with Denelle and Elizabeth and they are excellent! I was given my choice of training collars and I picked the martingale although now my dog does just fine on a regular buckle collar. Perhaps the other reviewer is a jealous competitor or a friend of one? All I know is John was wonderful on the phone supplying me with lots of information and advice before I signed up and I am so glad I chose his company. I highly recommend John's Natural Dog Training Company. I really got my money's worth!
