Fun the First, Second and Third Time!  4 Star Rating - Very good

Just don't go a fourth... piano players are very good and really get the audience involved, but it loses its lusture after the third or fourth time. Prices are on the higher end.

Awsome new bar!  5 Star Rating - World class

This is one of the newest bars in Midtown, Houston. Its a dueling piano bar with two very charasmatic pianists! You sing songs along with them, they bring up people to play games, and do alot of hilarious and embarassing tricks to unlucky volunteering individuals. Its in midtown so you can still dress up like everywhere else there, but I will say the main crowd is middle to older twenties and maybe 30's. But i'm in my early 20's and I still have a blast! Drinks are mid-town prices. The club/bar is really big and has an outside if you want to get away from the noise. Really great place to go for bday or bachelorette parties!

girls just wanna have FUN! 4 Star Rating - Very good

Such a vibrant and lively place. Its a great time with a large group...we've been several times and always have fun. My friends often have birthday parties or happy hour parties at Howl. Dress cute girls..it is okay to wear your hot girl jeans and pointy toed heels...but its cool if you wanna dress down too. But be forewarned...there are lots of attractive drunk women in this place...so hold your own. Its fun and the live music is great but even better...you don't wait long for a restroom or a drink. I recommend gettng there before 10...it gets "hammer packed." I bet they are at capacity every night. have fun and get your drink on...its always mor fun that way!

Pros: fun...dueling pianists..close to other swanky bars
Cons: crowded

Being drunk probably helps 3 Star Rating - Satisfactory

We stopped by last night knowing this place would be pretty cheesy and it was. If you go with a group of friends, manage to get one of the tables up front (I think you have to come pretty early to do this) and drink a fair amount of alcohol, this place could be really fun. The performers are non-stop high energy entertainment. They belt out songs in Weird Al Yankovic style while the audience sings along. There are a variety of ways for them to relieve you of your money. They have a task wheel, where you get to embarrass one of your friends by paying the performers to spin this thing. You could be asked to pass gas (this site will not let me say what the board said) though the "ladies" who participated said that was the one they would not do. They didn't have a problem performing on their knees on a bottle that was lodged in some guys crotch. You can also pay the performers to have messages written on the mirror behind them. Your message stays until someone outbids you. The last one we saw was a $68 happy bday message. Then they played college fight songs and waved the schools flag around. Again, you can outbid someone to have your fight song played. Everyone there looked to be having a great time. It seemed like the kind of entertainment you would find on a cruise ship. Cheesy, but sometimes that can be fun.

This place is a cultural phenomenon! 5 Star Rating - World class

I had so much fun at Howl At The Moon! We went to say bon voyage to my son, who was leaving for a military assignment in China. I had no idea that we were going to be completely amazed and entertained...we only planned to stay for a couple of drinks, but before we knew it, it was last call and we were saying goodbye to the entertainers as if they were part of my own family. Aside from the incredible collection of talent on stage (five piano players play piano, drums, guitar, bass, keytar...), we laughed until our sides hurt and sang old familiar songs as well as new stuff we hadn't ever heard before. Katie, our server was incredibly busy, but always present and attentive...she must have had a couple of clones running around, because, although the place was packed, we felt like she was our own personal server. We ordered a bucket of beer and a gigantic bucket filled with Long Island Iced Tea with enough straws for our party to share. We heard every decade, every genre, every artist and every style imaginable...even when we tried to "stump" the piano players, they were able to meet the challenge and more. I mean really...RAP at a piano bar?!?!! I wouldn't have believed it unless I had seen it myself.
