My family loves this park. It is so peaceful and the grounds are beautiful. My children love feeding the ducks. It is so easy to pack up blankets, lunch, bread (for the ducks), and toys to entertain and it's all free. My only complaint is that not everyone scoops up after their dogs.

Looking for a quiet get away right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the place. Set on several hundred acres donated by the Blounts, there is plenty of space for a romantic walk with your spouse or a great family outing that doesn't cost a dime (except for your picnic lunch). From the Shakespeare Garden to the ponds, from the thatched roof pavilion to feeding the geese and ducks, you can spend just a little time or an entire afternoon enjoying that park. The park is also home to the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and the Alabama Shakespeare Festival (Carolyn Blount Theatre) and both are beautiful buildings and add to the experience of being on the grounds.
