.

Do not be deceived by their cool website. The building is poorly built and managed by less than desirable people (the bitchy women who rarely smile and often look from the corner of their eyes).

The carpet in my unit is badly installed. I can feel the tack less strips when I walk close to the wall (i.e. a tack less strip is a long piece of wood with rows of nails sticking up so it can grip the carpet and keep it down).

My carpet does not feel like it has padding under it. It feels as hard as concrete and there are areas where the carpet is raised. The carpet was also DIRTY. I had black soles until I finally shampooed my carpet!!! O yea.. get this, the foyer is carpeted.

Of course when I signed the lease, I was too excited to notice the little nooks & crannies. The carpet is just the beginning of the long list of items that turned me off after I moved in.

I noticed the kitchen cabinets and hardware are unaligned. There are also scratches on my kitchen cabinet face and corners. The bathroom sink tap was improperly mounted, AND the toilet is a tall Euro style that has a flush button on top of the water bowl. I don??t know many people who can turn 180 to flush while sitting on the toilet?

Other nuisances I've noticed: thin walls (I can hear my neighbors, esp. their pets!!!), my neighbor across the hall is a chain smoker and the smell reeks into my apartment. The door is not properly sealed, at night you can see the hall lights seeping through the edges.

A couple weeks ago, the elevators were broken for 2 weeks straight. I had to walk down a dozen flights of stairs and I saw a neighbor carrying their kid down the stairs. We agreed the leasing office is questionable.

One good thing about this building, the people residing here are a nice crowd.
