2nd Floor on Clinton

I had my 30th birthday party here a few weeks ago, and I cannot say enough great things about the place. Klea was great to work with and had to deal with my 95 questions that I asked a day! I am very detail-oriented and she addressed all of my questions and concerns in a timely fashion. The bartender (Z) was fun and personable as well. You can hook up your i-pod, and the sound system is really good. They also have a flatscreen TV so I had a DVD playing in the background. Everyone had a blast and I would definitely use this room again if I need to have a private event for less than 60 people. It is an incredible deal at only $100/hour. Really the only drawback is that they use plastic, but I was able to pay a little bit extra to use wine and martini glasses.

To Start. The staff was excellent!! I deal with a lot of event space and most places act if they were doing a favor for you, but Klea and staff handle with grace and professional manner is indescribable. Two thumbs up!!!!!
All the guests and myself had a blast and wish would never end. 2nd floor is clean and a warm atmosphere, great space to dress it up or eave as is. I am so lucky I found this place.

I recently had a suprise party for a relative at 2nd floor on Clinton. The guest of honor loved it and the guests really enjoyed themselves. I was able to display a slideshow that I created and easily hooked up my IPOD to the stereo system. The stereo system sounded great. The bartender and manager( Klea) was very nice and professional. If you are looking to throw a party for 65 people or under this is the perfect place.

2nd Floor on Clinton is THE best place to throw a party in NYC! I recently threw a birthday party here for about 50 people, and everyone had a WONDERFUL time. My guests could not stop raving about the space and the curteous staff. Klea, the manager, went out of her way to ensure that everything was just the way I had planned it. Pricing is reasonable and there are no hidden costs. If you don't throw your next event here, you are making a big mistake!

I can't say enough about 2nd Floor on Clinton. I threw my best friend a 30th birthday party there and everyone had a wonderful time. I was really stressing on where to host the event but as soon as I went to the website for 2nd Floor on Clinton, I knew I had found the right space. Everything was perfectly spelled out; I knew everything I needed to know before I even filled out the request for information page. Klea was nice enough to answer all my many questions and show me the space, which is amazing: Plenty of room to stand and sit, private bar, ipod hookup and private bathroom. We fit 45+ people extremely comfortably and could have fit many more. We had a nice mix of people and everyone, regardless of age or personality type, raved about the space and the staff. Plus, Klea and her coworkers actually seemed to be having a good time themselves. You wouldn't think this would be important but it really is! The nicest part of 2nd Floor on Clinton is that Klea and everyone else really make an effort to check in regularly (before and during the party), anticipate and answer all of your questions and take care of everything you need. As a result, I was actually able to enjoy the party myself as I knew that I had nothing to worry about and because I knew that if there were any problems, Klea would take care of them. I was an event planner in a former life and I cannot tell you how infrequently this has been my experience. This is, hands down, the best event space I have ever worked with, personally or professionally. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Klea and her team did a brilliant job of organizing our party- from food to drink to music, everything was taken care of exactly as we wanted. The food in particular was excellent. There were no disappointments, no hidden costs- the whole evening worked out exactly as we'd been promised. Recommended without hesitation.

I can't say enough great things about 2nd Floor on Clinton and their staff! We recently held a surprise 30th birthday for one of my best friends. And in the spirit of Halloween, we turned it into a costume party too! We were looking for a reasonable space with a reasonable cost and found this hidden gem!!! I first checked out the pictures online to get an idea of what we were in for. I was worried that the place wouldn't look as good as the pictures but I was wrong! This party space was a nice size lounge with a sleek atmosphere and has such a cool vibe! It looks just as good as it does online! When we first met with Klea (the manager), she made our options very clear to understand without that hidden fine print. She was so easy to talk to! We had our own restroom, coat check, and personal bartender!!! They even had a flat screen TV available so that we could play a video put together in the celebrant's honor! Klea gave tips and helpful suggestions to make our party perfect! She helped us get balloons to decorate and suggested a bakery nearby for cupcakes as an alternative to a birthday cake. ANY questions we had, Klea was a text away with quick answers! Our celebrant and our 50+ guests had an AMAZING time!!! Our private bartender Mickey was serving some of the best drinks that night that! Without saying a word - Mickey remembered our drinks! Even Klea was mixing it up at the bar! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone! So if you're looking for a private lounge for a private event and want special treatment - LOOK NO FURTHER!!! 2nd Floor on Clinton is the best spot!!!

A private party space is a rarity in NYC, as I discovered when trying to find a space for my 40th birthday. After much searching, I discovered 2nd Floor. Klea, the manager, met with me personally three times as I worked out details for my party...plus she answered emails quickly and filled special requests. Even though I felt I was high-maintenance, she was not. In short, she made it easy for me. You are in very capable hands with Klea, she explains costs clearly, and nothing is hidden. I was so impressed by her attention to details, I had nothing to worry about at the party, except trying to catch up with the 40+ guests that arrived. Throughout the night, empty glasses were bussed away, the alcohol flowed, the music played -- my guests had a wonderful time. Cheese and dessert platter provided by sister restaurant Bar Jarnac were appreciated and devoured. At the end of the night, even though it was included in the price, I tried to tip Klea and Mickey (our private bartender) extra for the service and she politely refused, reminding me it was built-in to the cost, and she was just happy that I had the evening I imagined. Her integrity, humbleness and eagerness to please makes throwing a party at 2nd Floor a pleasure. Highly recommend.

We recently threw a party here for my wife's birthday and had a fantastic time. Klea (the manager) was very helpful throughout in accommodating all of our requests before and on the night itself. This is a great place to have a party if you're looking to avoid the hassle of doormen/bottle service etc and get your friends together for a fun time in your own space. We invited about 50 people and there was plenty of space, and as others mentioned below we had our own bar and bathroom. We'll definitely consider this venue again and will be recommending it to others.

I can't say enough good things about this place -- I threw a birthday party here for about 20 people and it was a great time. The space is nice and it's great having your own bar, restroom, etc. We personalized it a little by bringing some of our own decorations, which they were completely cool about. The open bar was reasonably priced and the sangria was delicious. Most of all, the staff was so laid-back and accomodating. I don't know of any other places quite like this in NYC, it's definitely worth checking out if you're planning a party!

I attended a party here the other week, and the place is so cool! The design is gorgeous, the vibe is chill, and Clinton Street is a great location. I'm hosting my own party at 2nd Floor on Clinton soon, and I cant wait- its sort of undiscovered I think, but their buzz seems to be growing. Love it!

My friend and I just hosted a surprise birthday party at 2nd Floor on Clinton for our significant others, and it was a complete success. Klea, the manager, was extrememly accomodating and helpful. The space has its own bar, and our bartender Mickey was great. We got to decorate just as we wanted and play our ipod on a great sound system. My guests thought there was a DJ there and they were completely impressed with everything. I loved it!

We recently threw our annual birthday party at 2nd Floor on Clinton and with all honesty can say it was the best party we've thrown in 5 years. Not only did the gracious staff of 2nd Floor have to deal with one person throwing the party, but rather 3 of us, and they handled all our needs in a speedy and professional manner. We peppered Klea (one of their managers) with dozens of questions in the days leading up to our party as well as the night of and she answered them all and gave us helpful advice to throw the best party. Everything from the space (plenty big for any occasion), to the decor (modern NYC bar look with banquets, small tables and low lighting), to the private bar, bathroom and coat check, were perfect. Thanks Klea and the rest of the 2nd Floor and Barramundi staff for making it the best bday party ever!

After having a party at 2nd Floor On Clinton last month, I have to sit down and rave. Trying to find a hot spot in the city that isn't supersaturated these days is nearly impossible. The coolness factor of the Lower East Side puts 2nd Floor in a prime position for throwing a party. Everyone I dealt with from start to finish actually gave me the time of day and made me feel like they wanted to help me plan my party. Since this was the first time I've done this, I am sure I must have asked a thousand questions. We had our own awesome bartender and the food served was delicious. No thawed out finger foods from the local grocery store at this party! The sound system was great, and there was plenty of room for us to stand around or lounge on the seating that lined the room. I highly recommend this place if you want to deal with good people who know how to throw a party in an awesome space.
