I actually found Susan at Salon Gio through spotting one of her clients in the street!! I have been going to Susan for years! She is a true Artist with the brush! I promise if you are going to one of the ritzy manhattan salons you are waiting your time and money - Susan is a true gem!

This salon has out done many of the other salons in the neighborhood! I was in a wedding and needed to have my hair in an updo..I called up and asked for their first appt. with whom ever they would give(can't be picky at this point)! I arrived and was greated by a very friendly staff. I met Rosa who listened to what I was looking for and I was nervous since I myself wasn't sure how I wanted my hair. I was so PLEASED with her talent and patience. When I arrived to meet up with all the other brides maids I was impressed that my hair stood out from the rest!! I immediately made a haircut appt for the following week. I just had my haircut yesterday and I absolutely LOVE IT AND LOVE ROSA!!! She has a new and dedicated client! It is very difficult to find someone you just "click"with and does exceptional work! I am terrible at making appts. but no need to worry here!! They call you and confirm the night B4. I am so grateful because I need someone to keep ontop of me f/ personal appts since I am soo busy with business appts. I scheduled my appt in 8 wks and I know they will call to remind me....The best part is..I know I will find excuses to go back in the next week to even have my hair blown out.. Way to go Salon Gio and Rosa...You stand out from the rest and the prices are extremely reasonable.....Hhhmm maybe I will schedule a facial next I'm already impressed!

After years of bad experiences and unprofessional attitudes I have struck gold. Salon gio offers service that exceeds your highest expectations. I was highly recommended to see Susan their only color specialist and I have never been happier.

Susan took her time with my consultation, I immediately felt comfortable . She was knowledgable and professional . Susan knew all the latest looks but was able to customize a hair color for my skin tone and busy lifestyle. She explained step by step each procedure , and knowing how nervous I was she was patient . Which is rare in my salon experiences. I never felt rushed and my experience was wonderful. My hair color is beautiful and people stop me all the time for compliments and her buisness card.

I had looked on city search to find a salon near my house. After viewing the other reviews for Salon Gio I figured I would give it a try. Even though i was only schedueling an apt, the owners & staff were all divine. I felt very welcomed....... I made an apt with Elizabeth for a facial. This facial had to be the BEST one I have ever gotten! Elizabeth definetly knew what she was doing,

After the facial I decided to have my hair done. I saw a few reviews on Anthoula and figured I would try her out. I wanted a new look, While consulting with me she recommended a perfect style that was easy to maintain, very stylish and we also decided to put a gloss which would liven up my locks and give it a fantastic shine. Well, I was absolutely very pleased with everything. The whole experience, from the shampoo to the final result.....and while waiting with the gloss n my hair the staff was very attentive. Anthoula is now my new stylist, very professional, easy to talk to, very helpful ..

This salon is definitely the best salon I have been to. Not only does this salon exude class, without the snottiness that some other local salons have, but my hairstylist Anthoula was always very professional from the first day that I went to her and she just keeps getting better everytime I go back. I know that I can trust her to tell me what would look good on my hard-to-style curly hair. During our last session, she recommended a long side-swept-bang and I was hesitant, but after tons of reassurance from Anthoula, I absolutely love it! It is so easy to manage (just like Anthoula said it would be), and I have gotten so many compliments about my hair. Paying at the front desk is very quick and they are very affordably priced. This salon is definitely a must if anyone is looking for a relaxing day at the salon.
