Fredo's Phillys

If you're looking for a fantastic philly cheesesteak, Fredo's is unequivocally the best in the area. Dan offered fantastic service, great food, and excellent culinary advice (try it with 'whiz').
The rolls are from Amoroso's the usual bakery for Philadelphia cheesesteaks. The meat is juicy and tender and is well mixed with the
cheese and onions.
The technique of chop is appropriate versus the other cheesesteak shops I have been to in SoCal.
In short, this cheesesteak would be an excellent addition to any of the establishments in Philadelphia.

I was born and raised in Philadelphia, and since I've been here in Cali(about 6 years now), sometimes I get homesick. I found out about this place when my roommate brought me home one of their signature steak sandwiches, chopped to perfection with savory grilled onions and melted American cheese on a real, soft, 12" Amoroso roll! He also brought me a package of Tastykake butterscotch krimpets.
This was an amazingly authentic experience that completely helped me to feel like I was back home. Since I've found out about Fredo's Phillys, I've been back a number of times, and each experience has been consistently wonderful! Both the service and the prices are excellent, and the establishment is very clean. To date, this is my favorite restaurant in Pasadena! I animately recommend this place to anyone familiar with the taste and consistency of a Philadelphia cheesesteak, as well as to those who have never tried one, but have always been curious.
