I had this sizzling shrimp pasta special there yesterday and it was amazing. The plate was huge and they packed the rest up for me to take back to work. I haven't tried the other stuff on the menu but this is the third pasta dish I have tried there and all where great. I brought a couple of orders of the ravioli home for dinner when I wasn't in the mood to cook and my kids loved it.

Totally overpriced and did not understand what dupont circle needs. The food sounds good but tastes plain and the people are not that friendly. It also looks like a mini-market with a food stand.

The food was edible, nothing to write home to mom about. The deli meats are too over priced like alot of the things that are in the store. I have had better food from Chef Boyardee! The sauces either did not have enough flavor or to much salt!

The atmosphere was plain and boring the other restaurants in the area have more of a themed in there decor than aioli They had outdoor seating for cold weather, which is not a very smart idea.

The management was lacking, the staff incompetent. Another problem was that they did not have a very big selection for the menu. The sandwiches not enough meat WAY to much dressing. The half chicken that I ordered was not done all the way. They need to upgrade their establishment FAST....OR they willl NOT LAST LONG! Remember that the customer is always right!

Coming across Aioli was an extremely welcome surprise. Very friendly service, fresh made cannolis, incredible sandwiches, and extremely reasonable prices. I'm not sure what more you would want for a restaurant.

Finding a place this good that is quick and very high quality in DC seems to be a rarity. Too many of the other places in DC seem to use subpar ingredients, and "play down" to the general level of food and service that you find in downtown DC. Aioli uses freshly cut, extremely high quality meats and cheeses and outstanding bread, and the quality shows through.

If you live anywhere close to Dupont, and haven't eaten at Aioli, you're doing yourself a disservice.

I'll keep this short and sweet. You can taste that everything's homemade so if you are used to processed food its a nice treat. I loved loved loved the panini sub I had. I took it to go and it was still nice and crispy when I got back to my office. You have to try that white bean salad. I don't know whats in it but its amazing.

As convenient as Aioli is to my office, I don't think I'll be running back any time soon. I thought the food was just mediocre. Granted, I just had the soup (which was only lukewarm), but it was flavorful. The bread was cold, too, and not super fresh. They should at least warm the bread if it is not going to be fresh, to serve with the soup. And the diet coke was sold in a glass retro bottle. Cute, but only 8 oz. I wish them luck, but am pretty sure I will not be standing in line.

By the bye, I think that "fresh and delicious" never eats out, or is the owner, because the food just wasn't anything special.

I absolutely agree with the first reviewer, this is a welcome addition to a neighborhood that offers limited healthy and tasty options. All of the food is made fresh daily. With its med-italian menu, there is something here for everyone. I had the white bean salad which was light and yummy. I also tried the penne salad with roasted artichokes and sundried tomato. Both were extremely tasty, I could have had a pound of the artichokes alone, I could immediately recognize how fresh they were because they were roasted and firm unlike the gummy, taste like it came out of a can artichokes they serve elsewhere. Don't miss the salads at this place, there are plenty to choose from. I also tried 2 of the pasta dishes, the sauce had just the right combination of tangy, sweet, and hints of a good red wine. I'm surprised at how reasonable this place is considering the high quality of the ingredients. Sorry, but if you don't end up liking this place, then you probably don't know much about good food.

Aioli??s first day of business - Sunday, 20-Oct-2007 is a well-lighted restaurant with delicious foods prepared on site.
21-Oct-2007, Monday. I enjoyed the hot tomato basil bisque.
25-Oct-2007, Thursday. The Portabello & Goat Cheese Panini served hot along with an order of Italian coffee made for a pleasant lunch as I sat and gazed at people walking outside in the cool afternoon drizzle. Another pleasant restaurant joins our Dupont Circle community.
