This salon is amazing. I have been going to them forever. All the stylist are great. Some are better than others but the girls are fun to talk to. When I went to get my hair done it was very quick and I was satisfied with my new style.

My first experience at the salon, I made an appointment for 1pm. The stylist was still with someone when I walked in right at 1 - no big deal, appointments run late.
After 30 minutes of waiting, I asked the front desk about my stylist and the receptionist said they'd "be right with me". I asked her about the discrepancy between my appointment at 1pm and 30 minutes later and she shrugged "It happens all the time." and went back to her texting.
When my stylist FINALLY finished with the other client a full 40 minutes after my appointment time, she then chatted with the other client's party for a few minutes before SLOWLY sweeping up the hair around the chair. Then she said "Are you the next client? Come on back." I sat in the chair while she ran to the bathroom. It was 2pm before she actually started giving me the service I called ahead to get at 1pm.

I wanted a brow and lip wax. What I got was an hour of waiting and then another 40 minutes of poorly delivered service with the tiny hairs waxing is supposed to remove still around my upper lip and above my eyebrows. I also had wax stuck to my face as I walked out. The stylist was very talkative and I learned all about her awkward life problems - things that I didn't really want to hear about: illnesses her and her family had lived through (and their embarrassing and disgusting symptoms), her grief at the loss of a loved one ten years earlier, and complaints about her co-workers at the salon. I felt uncomfortable and wished I could go to other stylists in the city who are more tactful in their conversations.

I had received a gift card and the first visit did not use up the amount of the gift card. I am still awaiting my next appointment as they have now cancelled and re-scheduled my hair appointment three times.

Not worth it and wishing I could trade the remaining amount of the gift card for cash.

This is a new salon that is a pleasure to visit. The atmosphere is relaxing while you are cared for and pampered. Have a manicure, have a pedicure, get a whole new style ... you will enjoy your time spent at NEXT. The stylists are all very personable and attentive to your needs.
