It was a surprise - food was very good and price was reasonable, . The service was good, and the food was excellent.

I think the owners are new to the area but they should do well here.

We read a positive review of this restaurant in one of the papers and decided to give it a try, even though it meant driving from the West Side. It was well worth the drive. We have been back a few times since. We have tried most of the Sichuan places in the San Gabriel valley at some point or another, and right now this is our favorite. The menu is very close to what you would see in a Sichuan style restaurant in China in terms of the types of dishes available. They do fish pretty well, some of the dishes are like what you would get at a Feiteng Yuxiang branch in Beijing. Another plus of this place is that they seem to go much easier on the oil than some other places, so the meal ends up being much lighter than some other places.

They have side dishes available at a sort of buffet counter at the back of the restaurant. You can go back and pick some out. The 'fuqi feipian' is the best I have had in North America.

This place ALWAYS seems crowded. Yesterday we were there at 2 in the afternoon and it was still packed. So expect a wait for a table unless you arrive well before the rush. They don't take reservations.

Parking is pretty easy.

Prices are extremely reasonable. We have had huge meals there with fish etc. and ended up having lots to take home and it works out usually to around $10 a person.
