We've found our new dental clinic for the kids. Took all 3 in for their annual check-ups. The staff was polite and considerate, and quickly put me at ease with their policy of not allowing parents back in the treatment rooms. That can be scary for kids, but mine just love Dr. Lauret. She put them at ease and her staff was always positive and cheerful. I'll have no problems taking the kids back next year, or recommending Little Smiles to family and friends.

We apologize about all the defamatory posts against Dr. Lauret Schreier and Little Smiles of Surprise. Sheryl Masowdi was advised that our child would be papoosed if it was deemed necessary. Sheryl signed a written consent to permit such immobilizing when she first visited Little Smiles of Surprise in April of 2012. She was aware of the policy that the parents were to remain in the waiting area when Sheryl first visited LIttle Smiles of Surprise. We were treated with courtesy by the doctor and staff of LIttle Smiles of Surprise. Our previous postings were baseless and we are sorry. Zeb and Sheryl Masowdi

I give these people a zero! They don't even deserve five stars. I was 7 when I went to this dentist and I found them NOT helpful at all! All it was, was Pain! They were so mean and wouldn't let my mom come back there with me. Maybe they were scared on what my parents would say if they saw them doing that to me but I HAVE A RIGHT to say what I feel. I don't feel UNcomfortable when my mom is around and I do NOT over react like them not letting my mom or dad go back with me. IF THEY HAD NOTHING TO HIDE THEN WHY AREN'T PARENTS ALLOWED BACK THERE, HUH??? The first time I went there, I was in the chair waiting, and I was scared, So I called my mom. And then she started to put that numbing stuff in my mouth and worked on my teeth. Then this lady came by the door and said, "Is there anything you need doctor?" And I said, "I want my mommy." Like 3 times but the doctor said, "Nope, We don't need anything." And I got mad at that. Then after she did my teeth we were checking out and my mom said, "How did she do?" And the doctor said, "She was mumbling. I didn't know what she was saying." Of course you didn't know what I was saying because YOU were not wanting to let my mom in There! Arrrggg, It makes me so mad. So, The Last time I went to this dentist, I think I was about 8 at that time. And I have a small mouth and my jaw was hurting so bad and I wanted to give it a rest for a while but she said, "O-OPEN YOUR MOUTH!" It scared me so bad that I was afraid to go to the dentist again. Oh and one more thing. They held me down. 6 people! I'm gonna write it again. SIX PEOPLE HELD ME DOWN WHILE THEY PULLED MY BACK TEETH AND IT HURT SO BAD. I was screaming at the top of my longs because It hurt so bad but they didn't seem to care. I still can't believe nobody heard that. It makes me sick just thinking about the memory. And once they pulled my front bottom teeth and once the four teeth came in. The two teeth were side ways. I blame them for everything that was wrong with my bottom teeth. By the way, The people who gave them five stars are the people who work there. They just don't wanna get shut down. But once someone reads this... This is all they will need to shut you down. I hope you change your mind on not letting parents back there. If you don't have something to hide, Then WHY aren't my parents NOT allowed back there???? These are questions I wanna know. Thank you for taking the time to read my horrible experience with this dentist. I hope who ever is reading this that they don't take their children to this place. They might be still doing that till this day.

I have taken my child to this place on three different occasions and the dental assistants have always been nice but the receptionist staff tend to be rude when having conversations over the phone. They have a policy that does not allow parents to go to the back with their child. One thing that really bothered me besides not being able to go to the back with my daughter is that I have never ever met the dentist. It was always the dental assistants that would talk to me. I find that very odd that a dentist working with children does not care to meet with the parents. If the dentist wants to create a more positive impact on their practice they need to build a positive relationship with the parents. I will be going elsewhere since I want to take my child to a location where the dentist will talk to me and address the concerns directly with me as a parent and not just sending out the dental assistants. If would be better if the dentist would at least come out to greet the parent and then say something like now the assistant will go over the recommendations. I would not recommend this place until some drastic changes take place and the dentist or dentists make a better attempt to create a professional relationship with the children and the parents.

I called to make an appointment for my daughter (2yrs old) and was met with the worse "customer service " I have ever encountered and I'm not overly sensitive so that's saying alot. I was informed that parents aren't allowed to go back with their children which came as a surprise to me but I wasn't terribly upset about it, just taken aback her attitude. The "receptionist" informed me quite rudely that if I didn't like it " go find another dentist "....WHAT!!??? There was no empathy, no notion of understanding, no common compassion for a concerned parent. I promptly hung up. I was upset but it wasn't untill I called back to inform the office manager of the poor service of the front desk staff that the issue esculated. I ended up in a verbal arguement with the front desk manager (she was the one I spoke with orginally apparently) who wouldn't let me speak to any one else. I would never trust you with my child if I can't trust you to have an appropriate conversation. I called another dentist office who has a similiar policy and the experience was completely different; she told me the offices stand and followed it by reassurance and an apology. I hate that I had to have that experience with Little Smiles because I see the commercial all the time and now I hate the front desk staff and don't trust who ever keeps them employed.

My 11 year old son was an established patient at Little Smiles Of Surprise. Last night he cracked one of his molars. Called the after hours dentist and she said to bring him in at 8 this morning. Sometimes I did think it was a little strange that we parents never got to go back with their children and I never got to even see the dentist but the waiting room always had patients and they all followed the same policy. So I took my son in this morning at 8 and for some reason my insurance was showing not active. So the office manager Anna said we can't see him you have no insurance I said yes we do just something is wrong can I make a payment to you now so you can fix his painful tooth and when I get home I will figure out the insurance. She said you can't go anywhere and get anything for free and I told her I don't want free , I said if this was your child how would you feel about what your doing and she said my children have insurance ! They made me feel like a horrible mom . We left and needless to say a patient in that office recommended me to Peoria Dental Center and they took care of my son with no discrimination . I feel like they "Little Smiles Of Surprise" is out for money who knows what they are doing behind close doors and charging our insurance company and Anna also said these are the Dentists policies. She was a devil in disguise and the dentist hired her so what does that say about the dentist. She doesn't care about our children!! I will spread the word about this horrib le place and so will everyone I know!!!!!

I just tried to schedule my son's first dental appointment ever and was told by the staff that their policy is that no parents come back to the exam room even at 2. I think it's unreasonable that I'm not able to walk my TODDLER back to the room and get him comfortable and then leave for the actual exam. I think the policies need to be examined about the "no parents" rule and be looked at individually per case.

This dentist is awful..she has no concern for kids she just worries about getting her job done. My daughter was 4 years old and went in to get fillings and by the time she was done my daughter came out with a swollen eye and air all in her chest and the sack that holds her heart. she could of went into cardic arrest all this could of been prevented if the dentist would called me back to calm my daughter down rather then continuing with the procedures.

Awesome dentist, outstanding office staff, clean and fun environment! The dentist (Dr. Lauret) took the time and patiently explained everything to me concerning my child??s care and what I should do to improve their care. The office staff ensured all the paperwork was done correctly and my needs were met. I highly recommend Little Smiles of Surprise to anybody who has kids with teeth!

Dr Lauret is the best dentist that I've ever used, and with lots of kids I know an excellent dentist. All six of my kids go to Little Smiles and have no fear of dentists. The negative reviews I've read don't reflect Little Smiles. I'm in Little Smiles on average at least 3 times a month and have not seen any poor treatment by the staff or doctor. The staff is courteous, friendly, professional, and caring. Dr Lauret and her staff are the best! I recommend her to all my friends!

I have followed Dr. Lauret to her new office in El Mirage, even though we live in Scottsdale. Dr. Lauret and her staff have never been anything short of patient and understanding with my children and we have been with her for close to 5 years. Parents not allowed in the back is not a new practice, as most children will tend to be more stressed and ill at ease with their parents sitting there watching. I find it very hard to believe that Dr. Lauret or her staff were saying anything that the other person accused her of as my teenagers have told me they are all very professional and caring. Perhaps the other mom should question her children a bit more to see whether this isn't some ploy on their behalf to stop having to see the dentist!

Dr. Schreier has always been very professional, kind and gentle with all 4 of my children and myself. Maybe the reason she doesn't let parents come back is because kids are prone to exaggeration and tend to exaggerate even more when parents are watching.

No one likes to go to the dentist and have work done. It is a hard job to be a dentist, especially when dealing with children. And I know my children behave better when I am not there, and I also know I have one that can spin great lies to get out of something she doesn't want to do.

I am not saying your children are telling lies but children can misunderstand and only get a small part of the conversation.

Good luck finding a dentist that has your best interest at heart.
