I went to buy a small goat. The butcher took me to the freezer and showed me goats weighing different amounts, 13lbs, 14.5 lbs and so on. I chose the 13 pound goat. But by the team the butcher brought the goat out of the freezer, he took off the sticker labeling the goat as 13 pounds. I pointed out to the butcher that he dropped the sticker with the price but he ignored me. The butcher then tells the long-bearded guy at the counter that the 13lb that goat I picked was 14.5 pounds i.e. a $10 difference. The counter guy assured me that the meat could be weighed again after it is cut. This is where the strategic placement of the weighing machine out of sight from the customer enables stealing through dishonest reporting of the meat's weight. The butcher put the cut meat on the concealed scale before passing it to the cashier. He did not include the sticker that is issued from the scale (the sticker is issued directly from the machine and helps prevent fraud). I paid the extra $10 for the 1.5 pound of meat I did not get. It would not bother me the least if I paid 15 more dollars because the meat was more expensive; what bothers me is that the store intentionally lied about how much meat they gave me to dishonestly make a few extra bucks. It is nothing short of theft and theft, even in the minutest proportion, absolutely sours the experience and makes me unlikely to return to this store.

I went to this place 3 times since that is the only option. 2/3 last time, when I say SMALL piece, they will say Yes and by the time I go pick it up though I order in advance, they just pick from the aisle whatever they have and mostly REGULAR size. I called up second time and they just said Sorry so I might go one more time and this time I would not make the same mistake I did twice (just trust) but open it and see. If they pick from aisle (Regular pieces), that will be the last time I ever go.

This is the worst meat buying experience I ever got...I went to both locations in Garland and in Irving..They take atleast 45 mins to 1 hour to have your meat ready... And when I opened the meat at home, it was smelling very bad. I will never go to these people ever again. The food that they sell at Irving location inside Texas King is very bad...they try to sell it very cheap...but the quality is the worst than any restaurant I ever ate at. I would not recommend these places to anyone in DFW area.

The meat is very good quality and they have all cuts of meat you request. They are very good at trying to accommodate your needs. For instance, I asked all the other halal stores for boneless, skinless chicken thighs and they kept packaging boneless, skinless chicken LEG QUARTERS. It was horrible with all those tendons and strings in the leg itself - this is not what I wanted. But TKZ understood what I wanted right away. I've been traveling all the way there (Garland) from Fort Worth ever since. The owner himself used to work for all the other halal places and now finally he has his own store - alhamdulillah for this brother.

This is a Halal meat market and I found the cut of the meat to be OK. They are not the best, and the meat tends to be tough at times. However, if you only eat Zabiha meats, than the prices can not be beat.
