The Tunnel Bar is by far one of the classiest bars in the Valley. It is quite literally located in a tunnel below the old depot. Great place for a relaxing drink with friends. The martinis are to die for - there are so many wonderful specialty martinis to choose from, I never can decide which is my favorite. They're all good. The martinis run about $8-9, but are well worth it. Impressive wine and beer list as well. Bartenders here are top notch and attentive.

Great space for a bar, comfortable seating, expensive drinks, it feels like you are in a different time period, a place to take your older siblings when they are in town, a place to have a private conversation.

I heard about the Tunnel Bar from my friend who was in Mass a month before I headed there and I went to this bar the first night in town. The lighting is just right the bartenders are absolutely delightful and I have been served by less stellar. It just is a jaw dropping place and for the six days I was in Holyoke I headed to Northampton 4 days just to be at the Tunnel. I will be back to Mass and when I am I will go back to the Tunnel.

This is a great bar to sit and visit with friends. It is literally located in a tunnel. The furniture is comfortable and the set up is cozy with a number of small tables. They have great martini's. I found the servers to be a little uppity but it hasn't stopped us from going there.

The tunnel bar is a great place to stop for a martini while you are waiting for your table at the East Side Grill across the street. The atmosphere is great and the martinis can't be beat.

The tunnel bar is a renovated tunnel below the Union Station Restaurant where they serve the best martinis around. If you are looking for a place to go with friends to relax after a long work week, you've found it. The bartenders are extremely friendly. You can sit at the bar, or sit with several people in oversized leather chairs that are set up along the length of the tunnel. There is always smooth jazz or other music playing in the background. I highly recommend the "blue moon martini" or ask them to make you a pear martini (it's not on the menu... but so good).
