A fantastic establishment for a couple, family or large group! The food and prices are great. The restaurant accommodates changes and adjustments to the menu to fit the needs of their customers. We have recommended to friends and will continue to do so!

Yum!!! I love this place! They have excellent fresh salsa and the food is to die for! I love their Sonoran rolled tacos. And they have this baked cheese appetizer that is delicious. Their tortillas are made on the spot, so they are fresh. Yum!

La Parilla Suiza isn't just a Mexican restaurant. It's a Mexico City restaurant.

The dishes are familiar to the usual Mexican dishes, with slight, delicious variations.

Everything always tastes so fresh, and the staff serves you very quickly. There is rarely a wait for lunch, but for dinner, you can expect maybe 15 minutes. This place is rather popular.

They also serve you chips and three kinds of salsa plus guacamole, whereas most Mexican restaurants only give you one salsa.

Very good. Recommend for your out of town guests!

I think that the Parrilla Suiza on SPEEDWAY IS MUCH BETTER, the staff and management is professional.

If you open your business at a certain posted time, than you should certainly be ready for customers and business.
We sat for a good 10 minutes after the business opened, no one approached us as they walked back and forth past our table. All the servers were too busy sitting down filling up the salt, sugar packets and hugging each other as a new person arrived for their shift.
Even as I flagged someone down for water, she said that she would get it, and continued on with filling her sugar packets.
When I told the manager what had taken place-
his response was filled with excuses that everyone was late, and that they needed to refill the sugars and salt which has been cleaned out the night before. I have been in the industry over 20 years and that is pretty poor management and customer service. I've had better at cheap diners. Fire everyone if they can't do their job, including the manager!
Perhaps the owner should get a clue, and be present to get his restaurant in order.
This is not the first time an incident like this has happened at this location.
I won't eat here anymore!

Pros: Not one redeeming quality. Poor customer service

Cons: Nada

We have taken family to this restaurant and they have enjoyed the food. The food is a bit on the bland side for my tastes; however, it is good and I found the prices to be extremely fair to the size of the portions.

I recommend giving this restaurant a try.

Everyone I know loves this place!! They have 3 kinds of salsa which are all delicious. The enchiladas are the best I've had and the salsa verde can't be beat. I was once disappointed in the margaritas, but that was my only disappointment and I've been there probably 50 times. Everything is freshly made and couldn't be better. The beans are the best I've ever had! The cheese they use is a blend of 3 kinds: Jack, Mozzarella, and a secret one. This combo is to die for! Quite delicious. You can get the queso appetizer which is a plate of this melted cheese served with tortillas. It is not to be missed if you're a cheese lover! If you're only going to visit one Mexican restaurant in Tucson, then make it La Parilla Suiza!

Pros: salsa verde (especially on the enchiladas!)

Cons: since things are homemade, sometimes things are more spicy than you might be used to

Great food! Parallida de Pollo --

Tortilla soup, enchilladas -- all good stuff. Highly recommended. Can be busy on weekend nights.

My first visit to La Parilla was in 1991 on a visit to friends living in Tucson. I was thoroughly charmed by the friendly staff and the happy atmosphere. I returned every time I visited Tucson and found it always to be a fun experience. Since we've moved here 5 years ago, this is one of our favorite restaurants--one of the best.

I have been to La Parilla several times. Not so much because I think their food is the best (it's definitely hit and miss), it's just conveniently located for lunch break. What I don't understand is the snobbish attitude of ALMOST every waiter/waitress there (there are a couple of exceptions). It's as if they can hardly bring themselves to speak to you or acknowledge your request. The "water and chip" boy won't even look at you and sweeps by your table before you can get any request in. I swear he's perfected this move! And after delivering your order they become "missing in action". The service definitely detracts from an otherwise so-so meal.
