I loved the job Lauren did on my hair (cut and color). I was a regular for well over a year. However, on my last visit, a woman I believe to be the manager interrupted my hair cut, informing Lauren that another client was waiting and, although the individual waiting was a last minute addition to the schedule, took precedence over my appointment (scheduled well in advance). I was never given a satisfactory answer as to why this was the case. Lauren to her credit was horrified and apologized to me profusely. The manager woman told Lauren that "someone else can take care of her," pointing in my direction. When I indicated that I wanted to wait for Lauren, I was forced to sit in a corner and twiddle my thumbs until she was again available (close to an hour). Several weeks down the road, I called to make an appointment with Lauren. Despite being a client of Lauren's for well over one year, I was told: "for someone like you, it will be several weeks." Previously, I was able to get in with a week or two notice (which I consider reasonable). I do not consider several weeks reasonable. When I asked for an explanation, I was told that "things have changed." I did not take the appointment. Her constant usage of the expression, "someone like you," and tone was probably one of the most offensive things I've ever heard. It was especially hurtful given my established reputation with Lauren. I was spending at least $500 every two months for my cut, color, and product. I am more than happy to spend my money at a salon that appreciates my business. It's really a shame, I love the work that Lauren did, but it wasn't enough to overcome the terrible customer service. I have never had a worse experience at a salon.
Pros: Liked the cut/color services
Cons: Worst customer service of my life
