I would like to share my auto buying experience at Automax Preowned. Though I am not currently purchasing a vehicle until I receive my tax return I was pleasantly surprised at the informative and courteous treatment I received from Paul DiCarlo, a salesman at the Framingham dealership. He went out of his way to provide me with the information needed to make decisions regarding my intent to buy a car within the next few months. Paul did not engage in the typical "high pressure" sales tactics I found at the other dealerships I had visited. I will definitely be buying a car from Automax and asking for Paul when I return to make my purchase. Paul made me feel like I was a family member as opposed to a customer....this was refreshing and the main reason I will deal with him when it comes time to buy my car

I work for a nation auto auction so I was extremely particular about what I wanted for a new car. Paul was patient with me through the whole process, emailing me whenever he had something that he thought would interest me and was well within what I was looking to spend. He found me a fantastic Toyota that I fell in love with the moment I saw. I went in test drove it and bought it the night he sent it to me. We went browsing for a used car and were amazed at the quality of used cars at AutoMax Preowned. "Only nice cars" is not only a slogan, but a given at this dealership. It has a great selection of, I dare to say used cars. They are like new. We had started out not with the intention of purchasing a car but just "looking". My daughter and her husband purchased two vechicles from AutoMax last year so they suggested we go and check it out. Originally we had another vehicle in mind and decided that we didn't like it and while browsing the lot spied a mint Murano, white and loaded to the gills. We took it out with Paul (DiCarlo)and he was pleasant and easy going and the car drove great. So what started as just browsing turned into a pleasant purchase. The financing was soooo easy and Dan(Johnson)took care of that in no time, the rate was much better than I had anticipated. I would highly recommend AutoMax and the wonderful personnel to anyone interested in purchasing a truly "nice car".

They have a 2009 Black RL for sale now for 3 months.. they ask 29k i offer 28k... they refuse.. i wait a month they lower it to 28k.. i offer 27k and leave my phone number to call me ill buy it at 27k. They never call and then they lower the car to 27k and then tell me they have other buyers they wont sell it to me. Thanks to John in sales what a prick!! avoid this place unless you want to be ripped off or like being taken for a sucker

One thing I wasn't happy about was a $500 ""documentation fee"" that no-one mentioned until after we told them we want the car.

I have never ever heard a dealership dont negotiate, price to sell. I have never been to a dealship that was this RUDE. I though Boch was bad, I guess I was wrong. They probably thought I had no money and just pulling thier leg. I dont know how this dealership make any money. I talked to 3 people (2 over the phone and 1 in person)ALL were RUDE.

I went to check for Audi Q7 this Sunday as Internet price listed was HALF of what other dealers/certified-preowned Audi offers. You dont need to be an auto geek when you could visibally see the damage on the car being repaired/fixed. I could see such instance on the driver side bumper on the car however CARFAX was CLEAN. I asked the agent about it and he mentioned it has a clean history and clean carfax as well. With a sudden aggression i recieved few really unprofessional and derogatory comments on my finances referring me as a buyer coming in for a deal but asking too many questions.

Very co-incidently i came to know a person having good family relations who works at Auto max. I talked about this car and my concerns to him and he promptly adviced me to not to buy a car for what so ever deal is offered. That vehicle was indeed in an accident with amount of structural/frame damage. Auto max bought it off the auction in just $12000 and with reapirs and paint woth $2350 they put it on sale for $27995. Yes, i could see all the invoces right from auction to repairs and "addedd to inventory / offered for sale"

Please be sure of what you are buying as offeres and prices may look aggressive and attractice with competative market but you are putting yourself in great danger buying a damaged car.

Thanks to a person who selflessly helped me out of the situation. Had i not met him , i was almost fooled by the agent.

I purchased 2007 Audi A4 from Automax. The salesman was a bit unfriendly and rude. Also I was told that the price is fixed ( they actually increased the price since the time I saw it online and I actually came to check the car) and you cannot drive the car unless you give a commitment to buy the car, which really makes someone uncomfortable. But the price was still reasonable enough for me to go ahead with the car. Also the carfax report looked clean.

The car was good but all issues surfaced when I actually tried to sell the car. When a person interested in the car ran a carfax report, he found that the car actually had a structural/frame damage before I owned the car and that seriously impacts the resale value ( not to mention safety of passengers too). Carfax started reporting structural/frame damage since April 2010. However the report clearly states that the dealer was INFORMED of the damage before they purchased the car. So Automax ken about the damage but they NEVER told me as they thought I would never come to know about it ( Carfax did not report frame damage when I purchased this car). This is clearly a FRAUD from AUTOMAX. No person in his sane mind would put so much money for a car with structural/frame damage.

Finally when I approached Automax and told them about the FRAUD, they very calmly told me that they cannot buy the car now but they MIGHT think about buying it back maybe after a month or so.

Please do not go to this dealership. Pay a bit more money and buy a nice car from a nice dealership.

Paid a visit here to look at a BMW 535xi. Price was reasonable and I was sure I wanted to purchase this vehicle. As I approached the trailer which they are currently in because they are under construction. I was greeted by one of the salesperson. First he was very proper then because of my appearance his first questions to me were "How old are you?" and "What car do you drive?" I don't understand what that has to do with anything so I answered. He then responded in a rude manner "Can you afford this car?" This salesperson did not seem like he wanted to help me at all. Kept asking me on how I'm going to get approved for a loan or am I sure I'm going to get approved. This dealer is by far the worst experience I had on trying to buy a car. I would NOT recommend to my friends, family, or anyone else. When he finally showed me the car I wanted to see, he did not pull the car out. Gave me the keys to pull out myself then after I look at the car for about 2 minutes it seemed like he was impatient. Towards the end of our encounter he moved the car back, rushed back to the trailer, and slammed the door. If you want to get treated like trash this is the place to go. I wouldn't buy from them even if it was to save me some money.

If there was a way to give less than one star, I would do so.

In August 2009 I bought a used "luxury" car from Automax, on recommendation from trusted sources who had dealt with them previously. Though the sales process was very smooth, the post-sale service has been... nothing but problematic.

Summary of the 5 big problems: 1. Soon after buying the car I had an issue that needed fixing. 2. Automax couldn??t/wouldn??t find the problem the first 4 times I took the car in. 3. Once they ??found? the problem, they refused to fix it. 4. Chances are, the problem they ??found? isn??t even the real problem. 5. They are being sneaky by deleting records, altering records, and making it look like there was never a problem in the first place.

Details for those who want them: Within a month of buying the car, I noticed a substantial noise occurring frequently between 25 mph and 40 mph. Now, 10 months later, after taking the car back to Automax 4 times to get the noise checked with no resolution, they told me they finally found the cause of the noise...tie rods worn out. Shouldn't this have been obvious to them, and shouldn't they have checked the tie rods before selling me the car? The service manager very calmly said they would fix it but charge me for it. When I complained that this was unacceptable, he simply said there were "policies in place" and I've had the car for 10 months now so they wouldn't take care of the problem. When I then asked if they would have fixed it (for free) had they actually found the problem the first time, he calmly responded "yes". Needless to say, I was baffled by this. They should have found and fixed the problem 10 months ago, but didn't. Now they finally "find" the problem but won't fix it because 10 months have passed. On top of that, I called a trusted mechanic who I've been going to for many years and explained what was going on. He quickly pointed out that the problem is unlikely the tie rods on this particular vehicle, and even if the tie rods were bad, that would not create the noise I experience. They clearly have something big to hide, and will go to any length to do so. I'm scared to find out what's REALLY wrong with this car! DO NOT buy a car from Automax unless you first take it to a trusted mechanic to have it thoroughly examined, and then DO NOT use Automax for any car service/maintenance. Summary of the 5 big problems: 1. Soon after buying the car I had an issue that needed fixing. 2. Automax couldn??t/wouldn??t find the problem the first 4 times I took the car in. 3. Once they ??found? the problem, they refused to fix it. 4. Chances are, the problem they ??found? isn??t even the real problem. 5. They are being sneaky by deleting records, altering records, and making it look like there was never a problem in the first place.

I bought a 2007 Maxima in 9/09. Six months later my back up sensors stopped working. Nissan would not warranty them because the service dept. said the car had been in an accident; the wires had been tampered with somehow so that voids the warranty on that particular situation (I got a 2nd opinion on that as well). Then I find out both passenger doors had been painted along with the bumper. It cost me a total of $400 to get the sensors working again. I've been waiting for the manager of Framingham to call me back. He told me to send him the invoice (he asked ""what can I do to make you happy? I said ""can you meet me halfway on the cost?""). Sent inv. on 5/6. He said he'd call me. Today is 5/11. I left him a VM today. He told me he wants used car purchasing to be a good experience. Well, so far, it has not. And if he doesn't call me, which he probably won't, I'd have to give him an ""F"" for customer service. I love the car; the ride is great (I had an 02 before..I really like the Maxi!) but something went on with it even though the car fax said it was clean. I'll wait a little longer to see if he calls. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt. Time will tell, I guess.

Although we didn't end up purchasing a car from the dealership, we thought they were very professional and patient. I had a zillion questions and they were happy to answer all of them. Also, they were not pushy at all, and actually pointed us in the right direction to buy the car we wanted.

First off we were very impressed by their selection of late model preowned cars. Tons of Acuras, Infinitis, Audi, Volvos, BMWs, etc. We were very surprised by their selection. While originally intending to look at a Acura TSX they had advertised, we happened upon a beautiful 6spd Acura TL. We had not seen a manual in this model anywhere (thought we had been to 3 different Acura dealerships) and had thought that this car was far from our price range. Regardless, we asked about it and were happily surprised to find that they had it priced within our range. They do have a no haggle policy, but the price they were asking was very fair for the model and condition of the car. I found it quite a relaxing experience to not have to haggle price. We negotiated a deal for some new tires and went forward with the purchase. They took care of everything and did not hesitate to help us with any concerns we had. We've had our new car for a week now and absolutely love her!! After doing research online, we know we got a fantastic deal too!!
