Great quality food. Much better than when it was Himalayan Cuisine. Love that we got a free good quality mimosa w/ our weekend buffet. Price not unreasonable, food was amazing! Delicious chicken pakora (like Indian chicken fingers),

My husband (he is an Indian) and I are vegetarians and love Indian food. When we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. We had the vegetable samosa as an appetizer and "Recession Lunch", which was $5.99.

My mom, 1 year old, and I came here on a lazy Sunday afternoon looking for good chai and momos.\r
In my opinion it was just ok. Their website says they have a champagne buffet on Sundays until 3pm--not true, there is no buffet on

Don't get me wrong, I like Himalayan Cuisine but I don't think they deserve 5 stars. Few places do.
They have a beautiful and clean restaurant. They serve very good food and the buffet is a great deal.

However, the cons are:
So So location. The little strip mall they are in has very little parking and is very hard to get in or out of.
Service. The staff is extremely inattentive.
Pricing. When you are ordering a la carte the prices are rather high for the portions they give you.

All in all it's a good restaurant that I'll go back to but not one that I would go out of my way to go back again.

Business Response:

Thank you Unfortunately our prices reflect current market values and our ingredients have been upgraded with some organic items and better quality ingredients. We feel that better ingredients make for better food and we thank you for your comments about our good food. Keeping with our new philosophy of serving fresh and healthy cuisine we have not had a buffet of any sort since the end of February 2008 and we apologize for the inconvenience. We sincerely apologize for the inattentiveness of our staff as we take pride in having highly personalized service in our establishment. Rest assured we are always striving to improve our standards, we thank you for you comments and hope that you will join us again and we can surprise you with some tasty new entrees and better service.

me and my husband just came from there and I gotta say I will never go to this place again. Even if the food was not too bad (pretty dry chicken without any kind of sauce at all!) the service was pretty rude! You could tell by the look in their eyes that they didn't want us there. We got there at 9:30, they close at 10 but there was a few other tables there.. we asked for suggestions they couldn't recommend anything and answered our questions in a rudely manner. Not to mention they charged us extra money for some dish that was cheaper than the price reported on the menu..guess 'cause I'm a foreigner and they were probably afraid I wouldn't tip them! Big mistake 'cause not only I tipped them the minimum but I'm also a Nevada resident and they just lost a customer and I surely will not recommend them to anybody I know!!

My friends from LA and I ended up here on the recommendation of a Vegas local, and it was well worth it! \r

The chef is obviously extremely good. The menu is very original with a great mix of dishes. I had the Eastern Nepali Shrimp

I don??t know how to word it, but this restaurant is outstanding, from the food to the service.

How many times have we??ve gone to places and get disappointed, at this place there is no space for that. Treat yourself and your love ones, if you truly want an outstanding experience, you definitely want eat at Himalayan Cuisine.

I??ve lived in Vegas for over 15 years, and I know there is a lot of over dress places where the food does not match the location, price or food origin. But Himalayan Cuisine is Excellent Food, Excellent Price, and Outstanding Service.

My family and I are very particular about good Indian food, and believe we are experts of sorts. Let me say this; exceptional Indian food in this suave, polished restaurants with reasonable pricing. the host is cultured and alert, the food delectable, and the ambience soothing and family friendly. Also a great choice for corporate dining!
I am taking my team there next time we go to Vegas.
Thanks,
KM

What a treat for all of us who went to this last LV vacation and refused to go to big and tasteless buffets, but instead found this gem of vegetarian cuisine. Next time, we'll go to LV just to enjoy this meal.

Probably the best-tasting Indian food I've had in Vegas, although sadly that's not a very high bar here. They advertise their cuisine as "London-style," which emphasizes a different set of spices than your usual fare found in the States.
