I could not be happier with the incredibly beautiful engagement ring my fiance purchased at Brilliant Earth - it's gorgeous!! After spending much time ring shopping/browsing at Tiffany, DeBeers and other diamond retailers, we were actually left feeling quite uncomfortable with the concept of purchasing something that is supposed to signify such an important connection between two people, yet we didn't even feel comfortable with the sales people who were helping us - and most importantly, they had no real proof that the diamonds were ethically mined other than a photocopied piece of paper that one of their employees typed up (personally, I can't handle the thought of wearing a piece of jewelry knowing there might even be a slight chance that a human being has suffered in some way for me to have this ring on my finger). After some research, I came across Brilliant Earth and was thrilled to see that the rings are 100% conflict free (with no question or doubt) - ethically and environmentally safe! And, working with Danielle and Brilliant Earth was such a pleasure - we felt like she was truly our partner, making sure to give us the time and attention we needed in order to make this large purchase that will be passed down through generations! We felt comfortable and incredibly pleased with the entire experience and I would recommend that anyone who is socially/ethically and environmentally conscious and is looking for a gorgeous piece of jewelry, search no further - Brilliant Earth is the place to go! I get compliments on my ring everyday! Beautiful :)

My engagement ring and wedding band are both from Brilliant Earth, a company that uses conflict free certified diamonds and reclaimed metal. It came in a sustainable bambo box... yeah, we're hippies. They are designing my wedding band too. It's a wonderful company! They are so nice!

My fiance ordered my engagement ring from Brilliant Earth. I must admit that I was a bit concerned about him ordering a ring from a website without seeing it in person. When he received the email saying that it had shipped out and was expected to be delivered the next morning by 10:30 we were ecstatic. The suspense was killing me as we were sitting in the living room waiting for FedEx. Finally the FedEx guy arrived with the package, I ran to the door and signed for the package. Nicholas opened it and got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes of course. The ring was absolutely perfect. I was surprised that it was so beautiful, was much better than I had expected, I love it. Inside the package there was also a handwritten card from someone at Brilliant Earth. I thought that personal touch was wonderful for a company to include. The ring came in a wooden box which I thought was also a nice touch. In the future I am sure we will be doing business with Brilliant Earth. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that is looking for engagement rings or wedding bands. They not only create spectacular jewelry, they create memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you Brilliant Earth!!

Three reasons why I will recommend Brilliant Earth to any friends in the market for an engagement ring:

1) The Service:
This was hands-down one of the best customer experiences I've ever had. I was paired with Jewelry Specialist Danielle, and after having an initial call with her, she assuaged any misgivings I had about making such an important purchase online (I'm on the East Coast). I'm not a big fan of shopping in general, but Danielle's knowledge, guidance, and responsiveness made the buying process completely painless, and actually enjoyable. She helped me select the perfect ring, given my price range and my soon-to-be-fianc?'s taste. Additionally, I was promised the ring would be ready in two weeks after my order. I had it in my hand within a week (this includes making a custom ring and overnight shipping it across the country).

2) The Social Mission:
Given all of the horrible things that have surfaced about big diamond companies' practices abroad, for me personally, Brilliant Earth's social mission of only using conflict-free diamonds was important, and it's comforting to know that every time my fianc? looks at her ring (which right now is quite often), she doesn't have to feel an ounce of remorse about how the diamond was procured. Given the fantastic alternatives to traditional conflict diamonds, I hope more people start buying conflict-free.

3) The Rock:
Obviously, the company's customer service and mission are important factors when choosing a jeweler, but ultimately, it comes down to the product. After spending hours comparison shopping at other companies, I can confidently say that with Brilliant Earth's vast selection, you will find the right ring at the right price. One thing I learned is that when comparing two seemingly similar diamonds that are graded by different agencies, you might actually wind up with two very different diamonds. Brilliant Earth sells only diamonds rated by the top agencies, so I had peace of mind that I wasn't going to be duped into a sub-par diamond. And was I ever right. Though I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg, the ring I ended up purchasing is amazing. It looks even better in person than I could have imagined, and my fianc? was absolutely floored when she saw it. Not only that, but she has had countless gasps and "OH MY GOSH"'s from friends who see her ring for the first time, and who wouldn't appreciate that?

As my girlfirend is from South Africa it was really important for me to get a diamond that was conflict free and even better, not from an African mine.

I had to pay a little more and wait a little longer to get the ring from Brilliant Earth, plus being in the UK meant that I could only speak to them for an hour a day due to the time differences, but I couldnt have asked for better customer service. Emails were replied to quickly and accurately and the ring arrived well within my tight time frame.

I would recommend this company to anyone, and reassure anyone in the UK who was worried about buying from such a large purchase from a foreign company, that it's a great place to get a ring from.

Oh and the ring is amazing, easily the best I've seen!

I recently visited the Brilliant Earth showroom with my girlfriend's sister and was blown away by the assistance provided by Danielle. We exchanged a few emails prior to the visit regarding diamond and setting preferences, I stole a few of my girlfriend's rings from her jewelry box and with that she zeroed in on what I think just might be the perfect ring.

I expected the process to be much more challenging, and figured that I would need to shop around more to figure out what I was looking for, but Danielle was on the mark with her suggestion. Bringing the girlfriends sister and stopping at the bar for a beer prior to the visit also helped with my courage levels but that is a whole different story altogether.

In closing Brilliant Earth shattered my expectations of the engagement ring buying process and I would absolutely recommend them to any budding fianc? looking to pop the question.

Wow, I don't even know where to begin. I feel so fortunate to have found Brilliant Earth. I tried finding a company that could guarantee conflict free stones but all I was able to find were jewelers who followed the Kimberly Process. For me, that just wasn't enough. Brilliant Earth is AWESOME. I love knowing that my stone is conflict free and it makes it all the more special. Before settling on a stone, my future mother in law and I spent HOURS adjusting the parameters on the site. We finally had it narrowed down to two stones but there was a weird number beside one. Upon calling BE, we were thrilled to know that the stone was fine and there had been a problem during the upload in their system.

We talked to Danielle and probably bugged her to death for a few hours that day but she was so helpful and was able to tell us the pros/cons of the two stones we'd picked. Ultimately I'm SO glad we chose the stone we did... it is absolutely beautiful!

We'd ordered a setting from another company so our stone was sent loose -- the packaging is so pretty that I still have it out! We're keeping the box for all of our paperwork for now but everything was so beautiful.

We really couldn't be more pleased. I'm hoping to score a sapphire ring for my right hand from BE! :) But I fear it might be a while after the diamond ring and band.

Wow. What an amazing company! We just purchased our wedding set from Brilliant Earth and couldn't be happier. We were a little unsure of making such a large purchase online for something so important. But, conflict free diamonds were extremely important to us and they offer a 30 day return policy, so the risk was reduced. The greatest part of our experience, aside from a beautiful diamond, was the customer service. We called when we found a couple of diamonds we were interested in. When you call you are actually calling the showroom in San Francisco. They had the two diamonds in their vault, so they took them out and described the flaws of each one over the phone to us. They list the flaws via a rating system on their wedsite, ,but this was info that was specific to the diamond we wanted. They also gave great advice on setting choices. Plus, very fast service. We will definitely buy from them again!!!

Any minor doubts I had about ordering a ring online were immediately put to rest as soon as I opened Brilliant Earth's unique packaging. The ring was so much more, well, brilliant, than I imagined (and judging by the look on her face a few weeks later, than my fiancee had imagined, too). Though I worked with Brilliant Earth to create a custom ring based on some ideas I had, the final product far exceeded my expectations of quality and overall design. Prior to getting engaged, I didn't know that it's customary to tell the guy "good job on the ring" when you get your special someone the perfect ring. Now I know. I'd like to think I had some hand in it, but let's be honest, it's the Brilliant Earth product all the way.

Working with Brilliant Earth was very easy, even though I don't live in the Bay Area. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, but turned to Eric for some advice. He gave me some great suggestions to help turn my vision into reality, even suggesting several design alternatives to help accomplish my goals. With most people, this could have been accomplished in one sitting. Let's say it took a little longer for me to get to the same place, but Eric remained patient each step along the way. It's as if he would reach right through the phone line to hold my hand at times. It was also incredibly helpful to review a CAD drawing to help me see the design and tweak it accordingly.

I enjoyed the experience so much that we went back for both of our wedding bands. Despite being a smaller purchase, we received the same level of attention from Brilliant Earth.

I'm sure we'll be back for future purchases!

I can't imagine being engaged and not having Brilliant Earth in our lives. The founders are Stanford GSB Alums committed to sustainability and ethics and their company is true to their mission and so much more. It's comforting to know that these rings are conflict-free and harvested in a sustainable manner. BE is the model of customer service in every sense of the word as well.

The journey began when I first thought of getting the ring. Eric Grossberg and I worked together to design the perfect ring for my then fiancee. Eric was SO PATIENT and understanding as we went through multiple iterations of the ring design and my now wife was ecstatic when she finally got the gem. We had to get it resized and there was no issue in getting that done. I will never forget the day I picked up the ring and how nervous and excited I was all at once. When I finally saw the ring, I knew I had made the right decision to go with BE.

We picked up our wedding bands from Eric about 5 weeks ago and we wouldn't have it any other way. It turns out that the original band wasn't perfect and Eric insisted on recasting the band in order to ensure that the ring was truly perfect.

If you want the perfect engagement ring and wedding rings, there's only one choice...Brilliant Earth.

P.S. BE also helped us repair a 50-year-old family heirloom and it looks better than new. A small stone had fallen out and they did a phenomenal job repairing it and polishing it while also checking the integrity of every other stone.

Brilliant Earth is an incredible company. Not only do they have a social mission that I believe in, but they are also wonderful to work with. We were able to custom create a beautiful and unique ring for me. I have honestly been stopped in stores by people commenting on how beautiful my ring is. Eric helped us make some modifications and he listened to all of our concerns. It was refreshing to feel like we were getting straight and honest answers to our MANY questions. In the end, the ring was perfectly crafted and exactly what I wanted. We will definitely be back for our wedding rings.

I was so happy when I found Brilliant Earth online, because it was important to me that my engagement ring have a conflict-free diamond. It was an added bonus that this company uses recycled gold. My ring turned out absolutely beautiful, however one of the side stones fell out within 24 hours wear!! The setting has a halo of diamonds around the center stone and along the band. I couldn't believe it when I looked down at my new ring to find one missing. When I called, I spoke to Gloria, who seems nice enough. But she couldn't say whether or not they were going to fix it, just that we should send it back. In the meantime, I had a local jeweler in Seattle look at the ring and found several other stones loose. When I called Gloria, she said she'd make sure the production team would tighten them. So I follow the shipping instructions very carefully, sending everything back to B. E. via USPS (even though they us FedEx to ship their products). It cost $36.00. They replaced the missing stone for free, and sent the ring back in a week. I was very happy to get it back in a timely manner, but they didn't include the documentation I was supposedly required to send along with it! Plus when I took it back to my jeweler to check the other loose stones they were still loose! I'm just shocked that after having such a ridiculous problem with one of their products that they would ship it out so carelessly and without making sure the ring was in top condition. I wish I could recommend this company, but I just can't. All the reviews on Yelp were positive, which was one reason I chose this company. Hopefully my case was just a fluke, but who knows.
