Having visited spas in Japan, the experience at Chung Dam was a close match in its' "open" environment. The massage I received was great--I felt that I was important and the focus of her efforts rather than on a timed activity. I took my daughters for the experience of an Asian bath house and once they got beyond the visuals, they also enjoyed their time at this spa. I highly recommend this spa but I warn you be ready for a unique experience. I plan on returning soon.

Chung Dam spa is very reasonably priced. An all-day pass for the saunas, spas, hot clay rooms, bamboo rooms, and exercise area is only $20! The only problem I had with this spa is that many of the signs are not written in English.

A Korean day spa; choice of three hot/warm/freezing cold saunas, steam room, hot charcoal stone room (to sweat out), and nap room. Lockers and cubbies for personal belongings, three full-size showers, free hair conditioner and towels, other items you might need for $1. The best part of this place is the ""therapeutic massage"" which is essentially a nice, firm shiatsu massage of EXCELLENT quality. In the water room, they also provide lighter massages and awesome body scrubs. They provide cute cotton pink robes for you to move about in, but for the most part, you will be without your clothing (men can wear briefs, I hear). The spa is segmented, so women on one side, men on the other. The cafe is run by an amazing Korean chef, don't miss out on a complete delicious meal for $8, and large fresh juices for only $4. Entrance fee for one day is $10, and $40 for the massage. They even have a gym, so one could really make a day of it. This is not a fancy shi-shi spa, more of a family type place - but very fun and definitely worth a trip.

Pros: Great Shiastu massage, Korean food

Cons: Far from the city, have to be competely unrobed
