I stop in this small eatery almost every morning on my way to work. The workers are very friendly and work efficiently to get you up and going on your way. The manager is always visible and available to talk with customers. They keep multiple cashiers open, which helps with the flow of morning traffic. The food is delicious and ranges from bagels to oatmeal to pancakes, and all for decent prices. They also have whole grain options, such as whole wheat bagel and whole grain pancakes, for the same price as regular options. I love this place!

I just walked out of there paying almost $10 for a half sandwich and small soup!!!!! Expecting it to be closer to the $7 advertised price, the person at the register said "oops I have to add $ for premium soup. If you call a couple of tiny pieces of imitation crab in a soup premium, then you need your head examined. The extra cost was not even displayed on the combo sign, I know times are hard, but really there is no need to deceive customers. Needless to say that will be my last time there, I will leave it up to the tourists they frequent the Metropolitan Hotel to do their own homework.

This is one of my favorite fast food places. I love the food, and its not crowded but tends to be sometimes. You will leave there very satisfied. Great food and Great service!

This place is lame. Stay away. They charge per ingredient on your salad. They charge way too much for very mediocre food. The only decent thing here seems to be the make your own pasta. Always crowded full of morons on their lunch break.

Pros: Salads, quick service

Cons: Prices

or are they? i recently went to cafe metro for the first time and was greatly disappointed. first, no ranch dressing! what salad place doesn't carry ranch dressing? that's like a pizza place not making cheese available. oh, and my salad was completely drowned in the dressing i ultimately chose. finally - and this is my biggest beef - the price for the salad was a whopping $10.99 (the same salad with the same toppings typically costs $6.75 or less at similar lunch venues in midtown).
