Golds Gym

Not a good gym , this place is too crowded to ever be a good gym , for that you need alittle bit of space to actually workout. I got a free pass to try it out for a few days and the facility looks nice , the equipment is new, and the price is real cheap , but the sales man did seem right from a used car lot. but they have done alot to fix the place up, since the previous gym was here , was it redwood city fitness club? trouble is with the price so cheap they have so many people ,and I couldn't find a parking spot, I couldn't get into the spinning class, and then I had to wait to get on a treadmill. seems like they are making alot of money , but if they really want to serve the members and give something in return ,maybe they should raise the price , and thereby get rid of some of the people...anyway it was like being at Disneyland and not getting on a ride. I'd rather actually get to ride.

I LOVE this gym. I have belonged to gyms for over 35 years and this is the best one! The are remodeling an old gym and it isn't finished yet, but as soon as I took the tour last November, I signed up. I would pay much more for this gym, towels are not included in the price, but I don't mind bringing my own. They have great classes and more are coming, Yoga, spinning, belly dancing, and much more. I find the gym very clean and the women's bathroom area is great, they are still remodeling the men's side.
For the price Gold's is a great gym.

YIPES ! dirty , crowded , and the members are not what you would want in your home. Being the cheapest gym in town , they do attract the wrong crowd. They have made some improvements that are eye catching , but with so many people it really doesn't matter , because you have to wait forever to get on a bike or eliptical. also the renovations they are doing have been ongoing now for over a year, and it looks like at least another year to get it done. I recommend paying a few more bucks at anyother fitness center in town , and actually be able to work out, even 24 hr is better. and really there is nothing here now or in the future that other places don't have.except the crowd of sweaty bodies.
