Enjoni is owned by an amazingly friendly couple. When I eat here, I feel like I'm being welcomed into their house. The food is great too!

We had a great time here. We didn't know they were going to have a buffet, but we're so glad they did. We got to try a lot of the food on the menu all at once and it was great.

The spicy dishes were definitely spicy which we loved.

I am outraged that the only Ethiopian restaurant reviewed by Portland Monthly was Queen of Sheba! That being said, I quite liked Sheba UNTIL my girlfriend and I explored this joint. There is no comparison; Enjoni is a solid notch above

Enjoni is in a class by itself when it comes to African food. It's hands down the most delicious I've tasted (and I've eaten a lot!) I've tried every ethiopian restaurant in Portland, and many in other cities, and Enjoni's my top pick. The greatest part (besides the mesir wat) is that the people are so friendly and always mingle with the customers. Sundays, the buffet is amazing- with at least a a dozen offerings, most of which are vegan. They do serve meat as well, although I haven't tried it, I'd be willing to bet it's as well done as everything else is. They also use organic veggies- what more could you ask for? Wonderfully decorated with a warm feel, always clean- and absolutely delectable food!
