Taco Lita

the burritos here aren't bad, and the pricing is reasonable. my favorite thing about this place is the hot sauce. it is INCREDIBLE. they have pretty fast service too

This place has got an american style of mexican food. The meat is ground beef, with very little seasoning, but the all meat burritos are really good. The burritos and everything else on the menu are very large with lots of meat, cheese, beans, etc. Even the tostada is piled high with lettuce and cheese. The food has such a unique flavor, and their taco sauce is the best! I always buy extra packages to take home. They used to give out extra packs, but every one loves it so much, and took so many that now they charge a little extra for the packages.This place gets crowded and their is very little seating. The only negative aspect of this place is they are closed on Sundays.

When we're in the Arcadia area, we will always go to Taco Lita, and we live in San Diego.
It has been a favorite of ours for a long time. It's a family owned shop that has been in existence going on 41 years! The portions sizes are really big so plan to share or take some home. My favorite is the all beef burrito. I love it because it's made with ground beef and cheese. Yummy!!
You add your own amount of taco sauce, and that's the great thing...their taco sauce! We always ask for a few extra packs, and now they will sell you extra packs to take home. It is so good, a little spicey and sweet. There's not much seating, just built in tables and seats line the walls, but I don't mind eating in my car when there isn't room, cause the food is that good. Try it, I know you won't be disappointed.

Setting is dated, 70's style basic tables which seem not really meant to provide anything more than a seat to wait at while your order gets ready.
What makes this place special? Generous helpings... macho burritos? Low pricing? Yes, all that but most importantly it's the taco sauce. People usually ask for extra packets to take back home. The sauce is slightly spicy, slightly sweet.
A perfect balance. Yummy!
