I enjoyed myself thoroughly while biking outside Saturday and Sunday. Interesting how what I've learned with Visit Yourself at Work came up for me while cycling.
I realized I was ??THINKING" about future stuff every so often and I would bring myself back through breathing and then I was present with feeling my body on the seat, my legs moving, my arms on the handlebars, the sun on my face and the wind.
That was lovely -- of course my mind wandered again and I would just bring it back to the present.
I'm glad to see that word of Visit Yourself at Work is spreading. I'm looking forward to participating in more series. I thoroughly enjoy the class setting. The guidance has really enabled me to access the process of becoming mindful and has given me a stepping stone for learning more on my own.
I've been taking meditation classes here at work with Visit Yourself at Work. I have to admit - I am not someone who would have thought this would do me much good, but after seriously injuring my ankle, I took the class as an alternate source of "stress relief."
I am now in my second course and I really feel like I have learned and gained so much. Our instructor, Klia, is very kind, informative and professional. I never thought I would say this, but I am able to use the skills I have learned from this class all throughout my day. I have sincerely benefited from the experience and am so gladd our HR department arranged for the course.
I really encourage others to just give it a try.
