When ever i go to this place,i like trying different combination every time.Nice Ambiance!

The psycho waitress at this place kept hitting on my boyfriend repeatedly, to the point that he suggested we leave...which we did. The rest of the staff was also talking very loud so everyone could hear them about what they did the previous night. Lots of annoying giggling. The staff was also rude and uppity even for a burger joint! The order took forever to come out even though the place had no other customers and it was already time for the dinner rush- but it didn't matter since we left because my boyfriend was uncomfortable with the desperate psycho waitress (with her dumb pigtails and all, lol). I would never recommend this place to anyone. Horrible experience for us.

This place is A-MAZING. I took my partner Brando and with the lights and flare, its the trendiestest themed cutest metro place to BEEE!!! I saw at least 6 of my friends always eating there to get some foods in their tummies before we all go out and paint the town pink lol!!! i luv it i luv it i luv ittt!!!!!

The Counter is a great place to go for the true burger lover. There are endless options for bread, spread, and toppings. It is a great way to experiment away from the everyday cheeseburger and try out something a little more gourmet. Personally I love the chipotle mayo with pepperjack cheese and bacon. Delicious! The cheese fries or sweet potato fries are also an excellent choice.

Located in Santana Row makes the Counter perpetually busy. Service is fast though so it's usually worth the wait. The menu options are long, so not for the extremely indecisive :)

The Counter is a fun concept in that there are options for every aspect of the "burger" you order. There is something for everyone, which makes it a good place for picky eaters, including chicken, turkey and veggie burger options. The hardest part is deciding what combination you want to try! There is a casual atmosphere, but they do not take reservations so when it is busy there is a wait for a table. And, yes, the sweet potato fries are excellent.

I really like the burgers here, you have soo many choices! But the think I keep coming back for are the sweet potatoes fries. Service here is good, but it can get busy. I have to warn you, you will leave here smelling like burgers and fries. If you don't mind doing your own ordering, sit outside to avoid it.

This place, located at Santana Row is a great burger joint. It's a little classier then most restaurants of it's kind, probably because of its location, but the service is still friendly. You can pick and choose any kind of burger you want, but make sure you at least try the sweet potato fries. It can get a little busy on weekends, but at least when I was there I didn't have to wait long. Give it a try if you are in the mood for a burger.

First of all, The Counter is just cool! The architecture, the ambience, the feeling of the place ... and the staff is really friendly and attentive. Even the menu is a fun fresh, yet very efficient way to plan YOUR perfect hamburger. Maybe its all the cooking shows on TV, but I'm impressed with how well planned The Counter is! The Counter really gets it Right! You can have something different every time, just by mixing up your chosen ingredients .. or you can settle in on the classic Perfect Hamburger made your way , and know that's what you'll get everytime. I've been to both Santana Row & Palo Alto locations ... and I highly recommend The Counter. They have taken the Art of "Burger" to new heights! This is a fun place with all fresh ingredients and even if you think you've thought of everything ... I bet you'll see a few new ideas about how your burger should be made! Just go ... you'll love The Counter!

The only place you can choose amongst scores of fresh cheeses, sauces and toppings to custom build your own all natural burger!! Full bar and great, fun vibe too. Outdoor patio for the nice days.

Great place to just hang out and have great food. Very highly recommended...but wear stretchy pants because you'll fill up!!
