We saw them at Home Depot and thought we ought to get a price on redoing the bath. Holly Cow!! The salesman smelled of smoke and knew nothing about remodeling. We got another quote from Shower Pro Texas and it was half of what Statewide wanted. They did a good job.

I had them come out to give me an estimate on replacement windows. The sales person did not bring anything in with him and I asked where his window sample and literature was. He said it was in the car we needed to talk first. After the first 3 minutes I knew I wanted nothing to do with him. I finally got him to talk price and when he told me it would cost more than $38,000 for 37 windows I told him I could not afford him, then he said he had chevy versions for $27,000. I told him he was out of my price range and too expensive. We got lectures from him about their company and I asked him what he thought of milguard windows and he told me they would cost more than 25 thousand. I showed him a proposal cost sheet showing half that amount. He did not know the code requirements for tempering glass near doors at all, told me it was one foot when in fact it is 2 feet. He also did not know the temepring for windows less than 9 square feet that were 10 inches from the floor needing to meet 4 requirements to be tempered. I could not get rid of him. He continued into code requirements and did not know the requirements for tempering windows at all. He never looked at the house windows except for sitting in one room and pointing to them and saying they were big expensive windows. I had 6 estimates at the time and had done research and built homes. The firm we decided on knew the codes for tempering. I finally got him to go when he agreed there was nothing he could do to help us which I had told him in less than 10 minutes we could not afford him at either price. Only saleman that came in with nothing and stated we were required to talk with him first, we never saw any literature or window information or sample. I knew when he drove into the gated subdivision and saw the $560,000 to million dollar homes his prices went out of sight and intergrity was not his top focus. He was noisy and wanted to know what we did for a living which is none of his business at all. I just want others to know so they do not get taken and not waste your time calling for replacement windows from this firm.

Run Away!
I talked to the sales guy on the 12th of January. I agreed to do the job with them. The price was to high ($2400.00); but I didn't want to do it myself. He told me that someone would contact me around 5 business days as that is how long it takes home depot to do their part. Well five days came and went. SO I CALLED THEM on the 19th. They said a guy would call me to set up a second visit; to check the measurements. Don't know why this set is needed. This is very small shower job only 45 sq ft. He said he would call me the next Monday. And if the tile was in they would probable start Tuesday the 25th. I told them my wife was out of town and this week would be great to do the job. Well on FRIDAY the 28th I called them asking why someone was not on the job and why no one had called. They wined that they had to check to see if the supplies had come in (we're talking about 45 sq ft. and a great big tile store). I asked what it would take to fire them and they wanted 25%. Not much later they called me (what a concept them calling me), they said they could start Wednesday of next week and finish by Monday the 7th of February. 4 solid weeks to finish a 45 sq ft shower. They wanted $390.00 extra to put in recessed area for the shampoo bottle, what a rip off. I will be auditioning a new crew.
