I don't order burgers here anymore because no matter how cooked I've asked them to be, they're so pink I'm slightly scared to eat them.
I am however hooked on their sweet potato fries and sauce... love it!

I must say, this is one of the things I miss the most about home. Being away at school in San Diego is difficult without my local Counter. The overall vibe of the restaurant is very nice. It is a great place for lunch or dinner.
While they do have a menu with burgers and soups, it is all about the "build-your-own-burger." They have chicken or beef, a few different sizes, different buns to choose from (honey wheat is my favorite), toppings, gourmet toppings such as avocado, portabello mushrooms, etc., and a great variety of sauces to choose from. This is no ordinary burger joint.
Their fries are great too! They have regular fries, sweet potato fries, and onion strings. You can get an order with just one of the above or a little of each. Never had their shakes, but they look amazing!
If you are craving a burger, go here. I promise you will not be disappointed.

I love going here for a guilty pleasure meal. The sweet potato fries are the best, and I like that the fries/ onion sting will come a little before your burger, like an appetizer. They get busy so go a little arly of late if you want to avoid the crowds. If you sit outside you have to order on your own, but on a nice night it is worth it. The toppings choices are vast, and I like the choice of english muffin instead of a bun. They have their own veggie burger and turkey burgers too.

This place will put anything on a burger from egss to hash browns to cole slaw. The bugers tend to get up ther in price with everything you add to it. But then again you wanted it that way. The fries are also sold separate. They also come out before you burger, therfore if you are like me be sure to tell them to bring your fries out with your burger.

Pros: sweet potato fries
Cons: undercooked burgers
Tried this when they first opened and was not impressed. Decided to give it a second try today.
Onion "strings" arrived fully 20 minutes before the burger, even though it seemed like a full kitchen staff and they were not that busy. Grilled onions are more sauteed than grilled on the burger and no way they can stay on the bun. Runny, for lack of better term. The vanilla shake had another flavor in it as if it was made on a machine that had just made a licorice shake.
And then, although service persons were on their cell phones and in clear view, I had to flag someone to take my credit card to check out.
1/3rd pound burger, vanilla shake and onion "strings" came to $20. Consider the above and this was my last visit.
Cons: Quality and service
My first time, taken by a regular customer. I LOVE a great hamburger but this was not it. Meat quality great, bun and additions poor quality and tasteless. Roasted peppers/ pickle chips tasted the same, like they had been soaked in water.
Very over priced. Two burgers, two cokes, one sweet potato frie and one chili cheese fries (both sides huge) cost ~35.00. Not worth it. Go to Kirks Steakburgers!
Pros: great sides, good quality meat
Cons: boring hamburger in general
The most awesome burgers...and oh my god, the fries...which includes the sweet potato fries, pickle chip fries, onion strings and good old french fries...the sauces are awesome... it can get crowded on the weekends, so be sure to plan for that. If you don't know that there's parking in the back, it could be a problem...the parking in the back is where to be as there aren't many spaces in the front.
