below average is more than fitting 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

the other reviews were rather harsh, but, more or less, correct. the quality of the garments in this store are below par. i've seen other sites with reviews of this place, but they seem to be by women/girls who must be friends with the owner or don't venture out to see what real fashion is all about. recently, i picked up the new Boutiqueville magazine, which is so cool this season, and there was no sign of this so-called boutique listed. perhaps it's because this is not a boutique. there is nothing unique in this store. i would say soko fashion is more like a forever21 for the elderly.

nothing to see here, move along 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

i can't agree more with the other ladies' postings. i have been a part of the west town neighborhoods for 2 decades and have been a part of the chicago fashion scene the entire time. as a 38 year old woman, i feel secure enough saying that this place offers nothing for woman my age or younger. it seems as though the clothes this owner has chosen for her store are either for the elderly or for women trying to behave like schoolgirls. it, truly, was a sad experience browsing this establishment. i don't know where this woman got her experience in "fashion", but it is safe to say it has not been from experience or following what is happening on the runways or major fashion houses of current. I was expecting so much more from this store. and on a side note, i think she shows her lack of connecting with the neighborhood by referring to the West Town/Ukrainian Neighborhood as "up and coming". perhaps she should pick up shop and move to the suburbs OR, better yet, Wisconsin.

Pros: in my neighborhood
Cons: worthless junk

no fashion at the soko fashion 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

soko fashion. WHERE'S THE FASHION?!?!? this place is(should be was) horrible! i'd rather give my money to the homeless for their clothes.

not a boutique. do your research before shopping! 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

the other reviews on this place are very accurate. i live down just down the street from this store and was quite excited to see an new shop for women to open so close to my home. i walked in and all my excitement went right out the window. this store is boring. if you like blending into the background everywhere you go, then this is the store for you. i did a little research about the owner.... trust fund! riding on someone else's $$ does not mean you suddenly have a sense of style to open a boutique. by the way, this is NOT a boutique. boutiques offer one of a kind pieces. shopping in this store was like an upgraded wal-mart.

never again 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

i can't agree more with the last review. i was so happy to see that there was a new place in the neighborhood that catered to "fashion forward" women. what a surprise i got when i walked into the place. i couldn't find one lively article of clothing. all i kept hearing from the woman working was "it's big in paris right now". she must have been at an old folks' home when she was in paris. the clothes are poorly made, the colors were all muted and dull, the staff was NOT knowledgeable of what is happening in the fashion world and the over-all vibe was dreary. and what's with the "men's" section? right next to the dressing rooms?!?! this is not a place i would recommend to anyone. well, unless you are some sort of hippy-dippy chick who likes really boring clothes.
