I thought dessert places are supposed to make you happy but service was not great and decided not to buy anything. The two girls behind the counter never smiled and seem to painstakingly serve customers. They looked tired and honestly not happy to be working.

Mmmm, Mmmmm Good!!!
by Jessy85
I recently visited Sugarbaby?s to see just what all the talk was about and I must say that Sugarbaby?s is brilliant. The moment I walked in the door I was greeted with smiling faces and great attitudes from the floor staff. It was not hard to see the hard work and great detail that the kitchen staff so ever delicately put into each cupcake. It is however a little hard to look at the beautiful work when you are drooling on yourself. These are truly some of the best cupcakes I have ever eaten. I can?t tell you how nice it is to walk into a place where you feel the staff is glad to see you. I also love that the owner herself does not hesitate to ask you how everything is and if there is anything they could do better; I know because I was the one she asked. The above are just some of the reasons why I am now a faith customer of the Sugarbaby?s RAVE!!! I would highly recommend Sugarbaby?s to any one at any time that is if they are willing to take me when they go!!!!!!

Love this place

I am a frequent customer at this place and love the cupcakes. I pick them up for clients and they love them as well. You can't find a better place. The customer service is great and they always have my order done right and on time. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for cupcakes! The pumpkin spice is great for fall!
Pros: customer service, best cupcakes in town

Good Cupcakes, Horrible Customer Service...
by Kimberly W
I love Sugarbabys cupcakes however I found them unrealistic with the fact that they will close early at the drop of a dime. When I think back, they've never really been happy to see me coming as the customer service is always less than mediocre.
I requested to meet my event planners @ their location and gave Sugarbaby's 24 hours notice. The manager Dana told me to call them just in case they close. My event planners arrived @ 5pm and they were closed!!! It upset me because I told the manager a day before that I was PRE-PAYING for 3-4 dozen and feel that they should have taken my phone number. As a black woman I am upset and will never buy their cupcakes again. I'm not saying they are racist but I feel like if I were white they would have gotten my number and stayed open. No more cupcake runs a couple times a week :-(
Pros: Less than a mile from my house...
Cons: Rude...Doesn't realize the value of a customer...

This place is FABULOUS!!
by iammykidsmom
I had frequented another well-known dessert place off of Kirby for years. They did have 2 different cakes that I would get slices of sometimes that I really liked. But I was never super impressed with their cupcakes. I kept buying them from time to time wanting to like them, but they just didn't do it for me. Had a strange artificial taste to them. Same with their cookies and bars. I tried Sugarbaby's about a year ago and FELL IN LOVE. They are now my obsession. I am a marketing rep and take treats to clients. I now use Sugarbaby's exclusively for this. I have actually had clients admit to sending me business to get the "thank you treat" from Sugarbaby's that they know I'll bring. They all LOVE this place!! The cupcakes are perfectly moist, ALWAYS. They taste homemade, nothing artificial about them. I hope that NEVER changes. I love everything I have tried, but my personal faves are S'mores, Strawberry, Dippety DooDah, and Black Tie Affair. They also sell Dean and Deluca coffee that I buy by the bag and have not been able to find anywhere else in Houston. Use to have to stock up when I went to Kansas City where they have a store. I read the other reviews and don't know how in the world those people could possibly be talking about the same place! I do not know Bridgette, the owner, personally, but I do know her husband through business and know that they are a wonderful family and VERY kind people with a heart for our community and making this world a better place. Just a tip on parking, I don't even try to park on the street in front of store anymore. I always go to back. It's easier. Now to address the service of the staff. They are usually not
"chipper" or real friendly, but they are still certainly polite and professional and I have never been treated rudely. It is SUPER CLEAN everytime I go and that is a BIG thing with me. I'm VERY picky about that. God bless you Jeff and Bridgette and keep up the good work!
Pros: Adorable place. Awesome cupcakes!
Cons: A tad pricey.

I had my daughters birthday party here in their private cupcake room. It was perfect for a simple party for a two year old. All of our friends loved it too. I think I may have my birthday party here as well. Cupcakes AND champagne.
Pros: Well......cupcakes

Good cupcake place!
by DogLvr713
Sugarbaby's cupcakes are perfect!! While the store and decor isn't exactly my style, I love the cupcakes and the way they look! The carrot cake is my favorite- it is super moist and the creme cheese icing is to die for. The chocolate cupcake is very sweet and with the vanilla icing it is a little too sweet for my taste.
I disagree with other reviews about the customer service- thats actually why I decided to write a review- I think the employees at Sugarbaby's are nice and pleasant and have always seemed to go out of their way to make the customer happy.
Pros: Carrot cupcake and Cheesecakes!!
Cons: Parking is rough, a little pricey.

Nice place for a sweet treat
by rbb152
Sugarbaby's is a great place for an afternoon "sweet" that isn't too much or too little. I especially love the Black Forest cupcake, but all that I have tried have been good. Contrary to the comments by some of the previous posters, I have never had bad service and have not observed staff members behaving rudely or ignoring customers. The staff are professional and don't get cutesy or act like the customer is their long lost best friend, but they are not "cold" or indifferent.
Pros: Good selection of cupcakes; good service
Cons: Little pricey

SWEET!
by DavidLMerryman
The cupcakes at Sugarbaby's actually taste like cupcakes. They hearken back to a simpler time when less busy lives allowed for baking at home - a time when a cake stand full of cupcakes might have greeted you when you arrived home from school. While mothers' lives today are often hectic and filled with either a demanding career or the demanding schedules of their children - or both, home-baked cupcakes are still an option. Bridgette and her Mother have taken over where your schedule has dropped the proverbial 'baking' ball. Their cupcakes are clearly a labor of love, and they taste like it. The Mother/Daughter team develop each cupcake along with their accomplished staff of bakers, most with a culinary background or at least (most) a love of baking. The cupcakes are moist and tasty and perfectly imperfect, they bare the mark of their maker's hands. They are not products of a CHAIN, perfectly packaged and glossy (although the packaging is great-looking), but tasty cup-sized cakes that TASTE better than they look, not the other way around.
Pros: simply the best in town
Cons: I hate it when they run out....

Expensive and uninspired
by Greenswizzle
Sugarbabies would be wise to spend less time abusing customers on Citysearch (and rating themselves 5 stars in the process) and more time working on their customer service. Every time I have been in there they have either been frosty, slow, unavailable, or all three. The prices are too expensive even for River Oaks considering the quality of the cupcakes- good, but nothing special, and the selection tends to be poor on busy days. 'Quality ingredients are expensive' only goes so far. I am glad I've found better bakeries in Houston!
Pros: Decent cupcakes, cute decor
Cons: Price, customer service, attitude

Not impressed
by Urbana
So I decide to bring my daughter to this cupcake place finally and we walk in with no one behind the counter. Me and another customer who was already inside look at each other in confusion but no one shows up. Not sure how long I waited but probably enough time to get a cupcake without paying for it! Finally a girl shows up from the back, looks down most of the time and doesn't even say anything to us besides "what would you like?"
Now, I am not much for writing reviews and needless to say, I think reviews are biased most of the time. But honestly, I left this place wondering how much longer can a business continue running with this kind of service?
To my own curiosity, I start reading reviews about bad customer service and then I see this most recent review the other day about recent service and I ask myself: should I be surprised about comments concerning the staff since I had my own personal experience at this cupcake place?
My daughter was happy getting a cupcake but I don't think we will be coming here anymore. I have been to fast-food places that have better customer service.
Pros: My kid liked it
Cons: service

Response to Shavon's review posted 7/11/09
by sugarbabys
Because Citysearch limits the length of owner's responses to reviews, I am posting my response here. Our conversation at the store obviously didn?t ease your feelings about the situation, and so I feel it?s important to say there are 2 sides to every story. There was some confusion at the time you came by as some new staff members were just arriving and the store was a little hectic at the time, but no particular group of customers is ever more important than another as you have insinuated. The girl you say was ?just leaning against the counter? had just walked into the service area and was asked by another staff member to go to the register and ring up sales while others helped get orders boxed for customers. The rude comments you used to get her attention (and the attention of all the other customers around you that you basically took precedent over) made everyone uncomfortable, and the continued comments to the other staff member that checked you out were really uncalled for. We always try to help everyone as quickly as possible and the staff mistakingly thought you were with the man standing next to you (that had comments of his own about your parking lot etiquette).
While I can?t verify exactly what happened with the credit card, I will say this: It is the responsibility and standard of our staff to be as helpful, courteous and friendly as possible, and I think that our customers would tell you that IS the service they receive when they come to visit us. It is not however anywhere in the staff job description that they have to tolerate sarcasm just for the sake of making a sale. That's certainly not what we are in business for. Your demands that you were ?due an apology? from someone that was honestly upset by your actions towards her and her co-workers was a little confrontational, and my attempts to hear your comments and apologize for the misunderstanding were unwelcomed as you left the store exclaiming you were going to ?tell everyone? what a bad experience you had anyway. Quality and customer service is indeed very important to me and is the main reason I personally have been physically in the store 99.9% of the days we have been open for business. I am honestly sorry to hear that you have formed a negative opinion about our service, but it may be best that we both agree that we are not the dessert shop for you.
Pros: great little cupcake shop

Need to work on customer service
by Shavon
I have been several time to Sugarbaby's and the customer service has been less than mediocre. You walk in without any of the young ladies greeting you. I always gave it another try but then when I was standing there waiting for someone to help me and saw one girl just leaning against the counter not even bothering to ask if I needed help while another young employee was helping a customer out, I finally realized these young ladies may like working at a cupcake place (who wouldn't!) but they sure don't know how to simply greet customers. When I asked to speak to the manager, the young lady at the cash register instead of HANDING me my VISA back to me, she threw it down on the table and rolled her eyes. Not kidding!
Her excuse to me was she thought I was with someone else but I asked her why she didn't simply ask me? I talked to the owner, Bridgette finallly about customer service but she didn't seem too concerned. Apparently, there was a little party going on in the other room that she told me they were busy with. I guess when they have parties, customers come second.... Beware!
Pros: Nice decor
Cons: Young staff needs to greet customers better

Very disappointed
by krispatt
I was so excited to find Sugarbaby's. I took my two daughters there for a sweet afternoon. We ordered a vanilla cupcake and a chocolate cupcake. The presentation in the case was impressive. However, the cupcakes were less than gourmet. They advertise "Madagascar vanilla" and other flavorings. However, the vanilla cupcake was not edible. It had the distinct flavoring of licorice and tasted as though someone had accidentally dumped several bottles of flavoring in the cake. Terrible indeed. The chocolate was okay but even my chocoholic daughter only at half. Very disappointing to say the least. You would fare better at the grocery store with Duncan Hines.
I did ask one of the staff what the sharp flavor in the vanilla cupcake was and she acted as if I were asking for directions to Mars. She said she had not tried it and had no clue what they put in it. Hmmm.
Thankfully the Chocolate Bar is right around the corner from here. We left, went down to the chocolate bar, and had a real dessert.
Pros: Cute building
Cons: Terrible cupcakes

Best Cupcakes Ever!
by NavySis0925
We've been to Sugarbaby's several times when I was downtown for medical testing. It was a bright spot in otherwise stressful days. We've been so consistently impressed with the quality of food, the presentation, the atmosphere, and the delightful staff that we decided to place a custom order for our daughter's first birthday. Sugarbaby's did not disappoint! We ordered three dozen mini cupcakes, 12 red velvet with cream cheese frosting, 12 vanilla with pink frosting, and 12 chocolate with purple frosting. Each cupcake had a tiny fondant circle on top with a "1" piped on it. I was thrilled when I saw the cupcakes-- the bakery had gotten every detail perfect, and they were so delicious. I've had unsatisfying experiences with grocery store bakeries, and I didn't have any of those issues with Sugarbaby's. We will continue to be repeat customers. Please don't pay any attention to the negative reviews that have been written-- they're absurd!
Pros: unique presentation, great taste, friendly staff
Cons: a little pricey

Poor Customer Service
by yume2184
Their customer service is just a few notches up from a fast food chain. Their staff is inhospitable and cold, preferring to be efficient than to be friendly. I expect a small business to have good customer service, that's not the case for this one, hence the rating.
With so many cute designs for cupcakes, this bakery opts for a simple presentation. The presentation isn't intricate or creative. As far as the cupcake flavor, it is average.
The Victorian decor is the only thing I really like about Sugarbaby Cupcake Boutique.
Pros: decor
Cons: parking, customer service

I AM A SUGAR FREAK. AND WHEN I SAW HOW ADORABLE THIS PLACE LOOKS I THOUGHT THERE WAS NO WAY I WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED. BUT UNFORTUNATLY, I WAS NOT PLEASED AT ALL NOT EVEN A LITTLE. I BOUGHT A DOZEN BECAUSE THE PRESENTATION OF THE CUPCAKES AND THE NAMES SEEMED YUMMY. WE CHOSE A VARIETY, AND NEITHER MY LITTLE BROTHERS (WHO LIKE ANYTHING SWEET) NOR ANYONE ELSE IN MY FAMILY ENJOYED THEM AT ALL. SORRY BUT I HAVE TO SAY THAT I WILL STICK TO MY HOMEMADE CUPCAKES..
Pros: THE PLACE IS GREAT FOR PICTURES.
Cons: THE CUPCAKES ARE NOT GREAT

My husband and I went in the afternoon and to my surprise I loved the cupcakes! I had the va va vanilla w/chocolate buttercream the icing was so yummy creamy and sweet but not to sweet and the cake part was perfect ,nice and moist and it evened out the sweetness perfectly! The staff was so curteous and helpful. I really enjoyed my cupcake and it was a cute little shop. my b-day treat was great!
Pros: cute shop, yummy cupcakes
Cons: little pricey for sweets

Hooked on Sugarbaby's
by happyfeet123
I found out about Sugarbaby's through word of mouth, then was given a sample of Rouge Velvet and S'mores. The icing is what will make get you hooked. It is buttercream, piled on, delicious. In the next week, I introduced 3 others to Sugarbaby's. My fiancee and mother loved the mini bundt cake with chocolate ganache icing. My mom is super-picky and loves to criticize-- she ate her own bundt cake and stole some of my fiancee's. My daughter and I have tried different flavors every time: Va-Va Vanilla, Carrot Cake (Unbelievable!!!), and Chocolate covered strawberry. My little girl loves to go there after I pick her up from school and we have a nice time sitting at the bar by the window and people watching while we spilt the cupcakes. I personally think Sugarbaby's is super-yummy, very special, and I look forward to making it a stop for me and my little girl, or to give the cupcakes as gifts in the future. I implore those who read these reviews to determine where they want to go, look at all of the reviews, but to understand that I am a super treat fiend, and I wouldn't lead you astray. If you love buttercream icing then you don't have to think twice. Get your glass of milk and head to Sugarbaby's
Pros: Buttercream

I love going to Sugarbabies and I recommend it to everyone I know! I have had the Velvet Rogue Cupcakes, Carrot Cake, Va-Va Vanilla, and other and everytime I am happy. I ordered the Velvet Rogue for a party with some friends and they were ready right on time, I even had a few left over and they kept well for a few days while I snacked on them. Everyone who works there is nice and it is never a disappointment!

Sub-Par for a gormet bakery
by kingwoodnik
I never, ever, post reviews on places that I go - good or bad. But I had to this time. I must say that I agree with those posts which say the cupcakes are dry. I went to each lunch with a co-worker of mine and when we passed Sugarbaby's I said we must stop on the way back to pick up a treat for our afternoon coffee. We bought the the Dippety Do Dah, the Lemon, the 24 Carat Cake, the Chocolate Rouge, the Neopolitian, and the Pina Colada. I know from experience that chocolate cake in general can be difficult to make moist. But all of the ones that we chose were dry. In addition, the cake itself was "flat" no really flavor to it. You almost needed the too sweet frosting to compliment the no flavor cake. We won't be back...because we were both very disappointed.
Pros: Atmosphere
Cons: Not very good

Sugarbabies is Heavenly!!!!

Don't bother going to other cupcake places here in Houston! Sugarbabies has the BEST, the richest, and the cutest cupcakes around. Really great, girly atmosphere, and very nice staff. Excellent service! I brought my daughter from Seattle for a cupcake and she loved the place. BTW, we tried other cupcake places in Houston, and liked Sugarbabies best by far.
Pros: You'll want to eat a dozen by yourself!

by hollydancer
I have been a frequent customer here over then past 8 months and have never been disappointed. The icing is flavorful, the cake is quite moist, and there is a lot of variety of the flavors available. The red velvet is the best anywhere, as is anything with their chocolate icing! A nice treat.

I wanted this place to be so good!
by l0veeisha
After looking at the Sugarbabies website for days and drooling over the cupcakes i decided to make a short trip to the shop. When i walked in i was greeted to the smell of butter and the beautiful pink and black design. I purchased four cupcakes and rushed home to eat them. THEY WERE DRY EXTREMELY DRY! They tasted like they had been sitting out for over three days. I was so shocked by this that i let my roommate try two she agreed that they were also horrible. I would never recommended this bakery to anyone.
Pros: The shop is very girl friendly
Cons: The cupcakes are not good.

The Best
by yennigirl
I can't believe some of you thought the cupcakes were dry! The only way I've ever had a dry one was the one time we got too many and couldn't eat them all that day and we left it in the box over night. I go in about once a week for the Black Forest, Peanut butter cup, strawberry and "plain" chocolate cake with vanilla frosting. Their frosting, while piled on (I love frosting, so I like the amount) isn't nearly as sweet as most frostings. I can eat it without feeling sick. The only thing bad thing I can say about this place is the younger girls aren't very friendly, but I can deal with that, as long as I get my cupcakes!! Once I even asked for a "cherry" one - meaning black forest, and after checking the box as I was going to my car, saw that they had put in a velvet rouge (they are topped with a cherry). I went back to tell them the mistake and they gave me the black forest for free. I also love that they use buttercream frosting for the most part instead of cream cheese frosting. You have got to try them!!
Pros: The best cupcakes anywhere!
Cons: Parking can be bad on Saturdays.

Best CUPCAKES in Houston
by MsCupcake2u
I received a dozen of mixed cupcakes as a birthday gift from my daughter. They were a variety of cupcakes. I was a little disappointed in her for spending so much money on cupcakes. After biting into my first Sugarbaby cupcake.....I thought "OMG" these are the BEST DAMN CUPCAKES EVER!!!! I am totally hooked. They were decorated so cute and were delicious. I did not find them dry like some other people commented. I'm not a professional baker....but could tell that they were made out of quality ingredients.
So....owners of Sugarbabies Bakery.....I will be your free advertisement singing your praises.
Keep up the good work!!! Like Arnold say's "I'll be back" :)
Pros: Great cupcakes, friendly staff, cute bakery
Cons: limited parking

Unfortunately, I too agree with the other reviews!
by chocillaberry
Sugarbaby?s cupcakes are GREAT! Recently receiving a cupcake from Sugarbaby?s as a gift has turned me into a ?super freak?. I can?t believe after reading all of the reviews how some people can be so rude and disrespectful. People that enjoy products from any business should write and give praises, because the people that like to complain sure do take advantage of review boards. I truly believe that some of the local shops that have suffered since Sugarbaby?s opening are to blame for the negative reviews.
I highly recommend their S?more, Black Forest, and their Carrot Cake. I can respect making them without any preservatives and in my case they are not needed, they are gone soon after they are packaged in the box.
Try Sugarbaby?s ? you will not be disappointed.
Pros: Friendly Staff, Amazing Interiors, Wonderful Flavors.
Cons: Only one location

Price is based on quality
by Cice1
I am SO tired of reading reviews that say too expensive, etc. The price is based on freshness and natural ingredients that you will not find in a box mix or in a grocery store. If you are looking to save money, you should probably not go to trendy high end dessert galleries, just an idea maybe wal mart is the place for you. I for one am willing and happy to pay the extra money to know I am not eating preservatives and aritficial flavors.
Try the smores, dippity do dahs, and chocolate covered strawberry! All are awesome. If you buy them early in the day, take them home and put them in tupperware they will stay fresh.
If you like desserts that come in box mixes, do not go to sugarbabies because you will not appreicate the time and care that these take to make. This place is only for people who can tell the difference.
Pros: NO PRESERVATIVES!!!
Cons: They sometimes sell out early, so go early

Better From a Box
by moxie19
Honestly in all fairness, I did not like these cupcakes at all. I would rather make them from a box than eat these ever again. They are very dry and the frosting is thick and greasy. Kind of like sweetened Crisco. I tried the vanilla, red velvet and chocolate. I was displeased by all three. The place is beautiful, but its quality not the presentation of the store that counts in my opinion. My friend and I who had been waiting for the boutique to open were very let down. I have high hopes that we will get a Sprinkles cupcake shop here!

Great Presentation, cute store, not so great price or taste!
by ilovecupcakes
Okay, OK Houston lets get real here this place is really good at one thing; and that one thing is not being consistent. Lets just say for $3.00 a pop they better be good and be good every time. I am a cupcake lover and I love Sugarbabies for the ambiance and presentation and that is about it. The red velvet is normally always awesome, and the strawberry is good sometimes,,,however when it comes to all of the other flavors save your money( F.Y.I the vanilla is the worst)! They are always dry, and the butter cream icing in GROSS! Oh one more thing get some friendlier employees. Really for the price of these cupcakes if i can afford em I deserve some friendly faces!!

Pretty to look at....
by cam1978
Had these cupcakes Saturday night for a friends' b-day. Must say beautiful presentation. I tried one of the red-velvet cupcakes. Dry and bland. I can make them better myself. Cream cheese frosting was good though. Can't speak for the other varieties. May give them another chance to see if just the red velvet was dry or if that's how all their cupcakes taste.

Dry Cupcakes
by amy99
My co-workers and I went here this afternoon for an afternoon treat. We were all looking forward to trying some cupcakes, and we were highly disappointed when we finally tasted them. Yes the cupcakes look delicious and the frosting was tasty, however all 4 of the cupcakes ordered were very very dry. The vanilla cupcakes tasted like cornbread! I don't know if this was just a slow day or what, but I don't think any of us will be returning.
Pros: Decor was nice, service was friendly
Cons: Cupcakes were dry

by bellablu
You have to try this place and see for yourself. I see some of these reviews and think, "geez, lighten up"! And I'll admit, not all the flavors are my favorite (I'm not a toffee or german choc person). I've tried so many of them and I still go back to va-va-vanilla! I show up at Sugarbaby's often just to see what's new. Yesterday, they had mini chocolate tarts (like little chocolate pies) AMAZING! SO GOOD! Oh and I had a bite of my friend's mini key lime pie! You don't find that just anywhere! I've taken them to church and other events and have ALWAYS received rave reviews! This is one of my favorite places! It is beautiful. I LOVE Dean & Deluca coffee and you can taste the "baked with mother's love" in every bite of their treats. I've met both of the owners and they are as sweet as the treats!
Pros: taste, atmosphere, service
Cons: addictive

After trying to get there for weeks, I finally got to Sugarbaby's Boutique. I want to say the place is FANTASTIC. The decor is right out of a magazine and the owners have done a wonderful job. The staff was so nice in helping me decide what to try because there were so many choices. I must say, I had a hard time, but when I finally did, I know now I am HOOKED ON VELVET ROUGE!!!! I don't know if it was the cupcake or the icing that had me smiling and trying to figure out when I could get back and what occasion I could use to get more. I will definitely be back.

my home away from home.
by fashionhore
If indulging yourself with a heavenly treat when you are on a strict diet is a crime...than i am guilty as charged.
I pride myself on being a health freak and am always focused on my figure, but I just can't live without Sugar Babys. Their first few weeks of business, I was given a cup cake and was completely unimpressed. But the attractive location (which is in my sphere of living) and the super cute location lured me into giving the place a second chance. BINGO! This was all it took. I have become obsessed. hooked. addicted. My Dad and I make a point to try a new flavor every week, I have had the Va-Va-Vanilla, the German Chocalate, the Carrot Cake, the mini cheesecakes (which need to become a daily institution), the Cookies and Cream, and my personal favorite (by far) VELVET ROUGE. I have to be completely balanced in my critique and explain that I am a cupcake expert, I have tasted some of the best american cupcakes (CakeLove, Magnolia...) and well the buttercream icing is sub par. Buttercream icing is usually my favorite, but here at Sugarbaby's it is no shining star. The cream cheese icing on the other hand, fabulous.
Overall: four stars. Sugar Baby's is already an institution in my mind. And if it isn't for you, it is for me and my family. Any time you can get a moment, go to Sugar Baby's and sit down with a cupcake and their fabulous Dean and Deluca coffee and INDULGE YOURSELF.
Pros: velvet rouge. pink everywhere. dean and deluca coffee. cream cheese icing.
Cons: buttercream icing. parking.

SAVE YOUR MONEY - go at your own risk - Awful!
by dynosore
Yes the place is cute -- but you can't eat "cute". We purchased several different cupcakes -- each one was stale, hard, and just awful. The icing was OK but way too sweet. At $3 each one expects to be wowed. Their product will leave you anything but. I never plan to return and suggest you save your money and go somewhere else.
Pros: cute place
Cons: cupcakes are dry, stale, and just awful

I love this place!
by foodedrewhouston
I love this place! One of the things I most like is all the variety of different cupcakes. My favorite is the Toffee Crunch. Whenever I go in, I get one of my favorite and then I also try another different one. If you like coffee, get one here. I like it better than Starbucks. The decor is fun and like nothing else I have seen in Houston. Most important, everything is kept SPOTLESS.

I haven't tried one I didn't love!

How resfreshing! What an awesome concept in a wonderful location. I've seen all the articles and had many friends anticipating the opening of Sugarbabies, so when it did a few months ago, we stopped to check it out. As soon as you walk in, the decor and the aroma can lighten any mood. I've tried 5 different cupcakes and loved them all! I attended a gathering at a friends house and showed up with a dozen and everyone loved them! If you are looking for a place to relax with a very tasty and flavorful treat, Sugarbabies is absolutely worth checking out.
Pros: Location, decor, friendly staff, awesome treats!

Beautiful boutique and delicious cakes and coffee

The cupcakes were wonderful, the decor was perfect, and the coffee was very good (and I usually don't drink coffee). The kids had fun choosing and decorating their little cupcakes with sprinkles.
Pros: good food, good drinks, unique gifts, and beautiful decor
