I have had to now call upon Dr. McReynolds for the 2nd time in 3 years to assist me with the passing of my other dog, Sake. Dr. McReynolds and I met the first time when she helped me with my Daschund, Max who was 10 years old and unfortunately was beyond medical help. My vet had recommended her services based on the fact that Max could not be carried back and forth. I called her she showed up right on time, walked me through exactly what she was going to do and what would happen when she did those steps. While it was an awful time, she made it all the better, she is terrific. She has now assisted me with my second dog, Sake this last Saturday. Again, a heart wrenching time but she stayed with me until I was composed and always follows up afterwards. There are few people that come into my life that run a business that I consider a true friend but Dr. McReynolds has been that to me. She helped me through two different sitatuations that I thought were going to be impossible to get through. I highly suggest that if you require these services, use her. Shes amazing.
This past week, our 8-year-old Black Lab was diagnosed with bone bone cancer. Her pain quickly became overwhelming and her mobility rapidly declined. We were devastated and ultimately made the decision to euthanize her. We wanted her to pass in the comfort of her home, surrounded with family. We contacted Dr. McReynold's who was more than accommodating and available in helping us to plan her passing. She had a professional demeanor, yet was empathetic to our circumstances. When the time came, our girl passed peacefully. Dr. McReynold's conveyed a notable respect for the bond between our family and handled the situation with authentic compassion. It takes a special type of individual to do what she does. In saying that, the cost of he service is very reasonable and affordable. It's something I can without hesitation recommend.
Last week we had to say "goodbye" to our beloved chocolate lab, Lua, due to bone cancer. Our decision to have her euthanized was not made easily because she had both bad and good days toward the end. However, the time came when we realized that her suffering was outweighing the simple pleasures that canines so readily delight in. Through the end, "Queen" Lua was so noble! We called Dr. McReynolds because our regular veterinarian was out-of-town. Also, we were told that Dr. McReynolds did the "Transition Home Euthanasia." We called her the evening of Lua's last bad day and she returned our call immediately, despite her just arriving back into town herself (this was the day after Christmas). She was wonderful! She came to our house the next morning and it was as if an angel of mercy had been sent to us! Neither my husband nor I had been through this difficult process before, but Dr. McReynolds' compassionate professionalism made the process the best it could have been. Lua was "at peace" and so were we with what had to be done. If you ever need this service (and hopefully that would be later than sooner) please call this very professional and truly compassionate veterinarian. She is amazing!

It's taken me one year to write this review. A year ago on 8/27/08 Dr. McReynolds came to my apartment to help my Sidney go to a better place. Sidney had been with me for 17 years. I had called Dr. McReynolds a few times before I set the date. I wanted to make sure I was making the right decision. She didn't tell me what to do but, rather, told me what to try to help Sidney feel better. Even though she knew I was moving shortly and I didn't think Sidney would make another long trip. When the date came, Dr. McReynolds was a bit late due to traffic. She called to say she would be late. When she arrived she was compassionate and attentive. She met Sidney and my other cat first. It wasn't just like she was there to do "the job." She explained how my other cat, Chirp, would deal with the loss; why it was important for Chirp to say goodbye to Sidney also. Dr, McReynolds spent at least an hour with us.
If it wasn't for Dr. McReynolds and my good friend Mary, who was also with me and Sidney, I think I would have regretted the decision I made on Sidney's behalf. As hard as this was, I know Sidney is in a better place and it was done at the right time. Thank you, Dr, McReynolds for your compassion and caring.

14 years ago we acquired a Golden Retriever and for the next three days we discussed possible names. We settled on Augusta Beauregard. The day he would die never crossed our minds. For the past 3 weeks that thought was forefront on our minds. But this time it did not take us 3 days to decide on a course of action. One call to Dr. McReynolds with Transitions and we knew that "Bo" would be in the most loving hands(next to ours) available. Dr. McReynolds is the most kind, considerate and loving vet that you would ever want to meet. She handled Bo's passing as if he were her pet. She helped my wife and myself get through a very difficult time in our lives. I would recommend Dr. McReynolds and the Transitions company to anyone looking to make the "at home" passing of their beloved pet a more humane and loving decision.
Dr. MG McReynolds helped us put our 14 yr old cat to sleep in the most compassionate, caring and professional manner. She was so patient with us as we made dates for the appointment and then had to change them as our daughter dealt with losing her childhood pet.
We can't say enough good things about Dr. McReynolds. She was kind, patient, and compassionate towards us and our sweet pet. Knowing that our beloved pet would die at home without the stress of a final car ride was immeasurable.

Dr. McReynolds helped us feel comfortable and confident that we were doing the right thing by ending the suffering of our beloved Kalah. We agonized over what to do for a couple of months but finally realized that we were keeping Kalah for us and not for her. Being at home, petting, holding, and talking to Kalah as she left us was the best way for us to say goodbye to our companion.
Dr McReynolds compassion, understanding and professionalism is unparalleled. She really loves animals and the relationships we have with our pets.
We could not have done this without her and will always remember the Doctor who cared as much for our pet as we did.
Thank you so much Dr. McReynolds, you have a special place in our hearts.
Pros: Everything about the experience with Dr. McReynolds
I honestly don't know what I would have done without Dr. McReynolds. The thought of taking my dog away from his home during my last hours with him was just too much to bear. Dr. McReynolds' caring and professional services were invaluable to my dog and me. Home euthanasia was the right choice for us.
Pros: Extremely professional and caring vet, prompt & attentive
When I had to put my ailing 16 year old cat down, one of my primary concerns was reducing the stress of this difficult time on him and on myself. He had already been through so much; I wanted his passing to be as serene as possible. Dr. McReynolds was prompt, warm and professional, and having my cat in his own home when the time came was priceless to all of us. The whole process was quick and very peaceful. I would highly recommend this service to any pet owner facing this incredibly difficult decision.
