Great Times, Drinking and Dueling Pianos
  • Dueling Pianos Bars
  • Happy Hour Specials
  • Great times for any occasion

Two piano players face each other and take turns singing time-tested tunes like "Sweet Caroline" and "Devil Went Down to Georgia". Talented musicians add to the fun of the dueling pianos with instruments like the bass, drums and even the electric violin. Requests are encouraged, and singing along is a must. When groups can agree on the same sipper, they go for 86-ounce buckets of booze bliss, like the ever-popular Long Island Iced Tea. Howl is the place for fun for any occassion. Dont forget to book your group parties with Howl at the Moon! Want to work for Howl at Moon -- give us a call.

I work at Howl at the Moon, and for the sake of fairness and decency I think it only appropriate to let the readers of this site know that the post made by KCROYAL1 is not a real review. KCROYAL1 works with us at Howl at the Moon and I am embarrassed at their lack of professionalism. I apologize to all the readers who took my colleagues comments to heart.

In my opinion Howl at the Moon is the best piano bar in KC, but to slam Ernie Biggs on merit because they are not original is like saying Rodger Clemens is not original because he throws a fastball. The concept of dueling pianos is not owned by Howl at the Moon. I have seen Ernie Biggs twice since moving to KC and had a great time both times. They're no more un-original than we are. The only difference between the clubs is our locations. We are located in Power and Light which is brand new and very popular amongst the college crowd hence we are doing great business thanks to the success of the Power and Light district. Anyone with a bar is doing well here regardless of what's inside. Ernie Biggs is in Westport near the Plaza which draws the locals and business crowds. Both shows are fun. Both clubs have excellent sound and light shows, and both have world class entertainers. Again, my apology for the cheap shot by KCROYAL1.

Best Piano Bar in KC 5 Star Rating - World class

Howl at the Moon is the best Piano Bar in KC. It didn't take long to see why they are so successful around the country! Its good to see some original talent. Unlike the other piano bar in the city, they come up with their own ideas and don't have to steal from competition. Their talent is second to none. The line gets really long on the weekends but it is always worth it!! The prices are on par with the other concepts in the P&L District. They have awesome bucket drinks and were the first bar to bring jello injector shots to KC!! If you want to go out and have a safe and enjoyable time in KC, make sure you get down to the P&L district. Make sure you go and check out the premiere piano bar in KC. Howl at the Moon leads the way; all others follow!!

Pros: The talent is awesome, and the band sets are killer
Cons: the line gets long on the weekends

Horrible experience 1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I was really excited to go to this place, but was sadly dissappointed. The entertainment was just so-so (the violin player was excellent) and the humor was, well, not funny and just risque. The reservation price was way too high for 4 people ($125) and the waiter was rude and tried to stick us with an $80 tab that we had already paid for. My wife stepped out of the bar for a bit and security would not let her back in despite the fact that she was sober and tried to reason with him. You can not see the stage from the VIP seats when they let in everyone else to stand right in front of you. Drink prices are way too high. There are plenty of other great places to go near the Sprint Center. My advice is bypass this one.

Pros: first impression is fun
Cons: first impression misleading
