Among the biggest I have been to, this Borders bookstore sits on the corner of a major, busy street; the only problem is limited parking behind the building, but otherwise, street parking is available as well as a parking structure a bit down the block. This locale offers a massive selection of titles and offers expansive store hours to accomodate local, night-loving Los Angelians etc.

Best bookstore in Valley in my opinion. Two floors of books and music. Really incredible selection of Art & Photography Books upstairs. Childrens section is nice and inviting to grab a chair or corner and read! Great sales all the time, check out in lobby or mid store for deals. Are you a teacher, sign in at desk for educators discount of 20% off all books. You will also be invited to their educator's Special shopping Days with free goodies, extra discounts and more. Can't find a book, go to infodesk and order, they will call you when they get it in and hold it for you. Cafe upstairs is great to take a break from a hectic day. Pizza Pretzel gets a special mention, yummy!

It is conviniently located with other shopping places. A Spacious and cozy place to spend time browsing the books while waiting for the wife who's gone shopping.Lots of nooks and comfortable seating is available along with snacks and coffee too. Infactthey gave away coffe on one rainy day. Pleasant customer service and a haven for book lovers

This is a large Borders and like all Border's Book Stores it is a great place to spend hours reading and listening to music. This particular Border's even has a balcony area on the second floor. Located near lots of other retail stores on Ventura Blvd. If you are in the book browsing mood there is also a Barnes & Noble nearby. But you will find more places to sit and be comfortable at this Borders. Usually very quiet but I have gone in the morning when the AC was on to high.

Borders in Sherman Oaks is a great book, music and general hang-out store. The caf upstairs is spacious and generally hassle-free; you stay for hours, peruse the magazines and books, or study, and in spite of the occasional loud cell-phone user isquiet for the most part. Great magazine selection and staff is overall very helpful.
