On a general basis we've had decent experiences here- they do go out of their way to make sure we get our best rate. However, when it came to their handling of our flood policy and other related storm damage there was a lot to be desired (granted- this went to a specialty office for customer service and was no longer handled directly by his office- just an issue with State farm in general) Also, when our home had become vacant and we were waiting on the county to finalize buyout proceedings State Farm dropped our homeowners coverage on it despite requirement by FEMA for the home to remain insured until everything was finalized. Bill Collins had us come in to meet with him personally regarding this matter and asked us several questions. We spent almost an hour in his office only to have to remind him about our concerns with our old home as opposed to our current home needing insurance only to be told that he would see what he could do and get a letter in the mail weeks later informing us that our coverage on that home was not possible. All in all, I'd say that his office personel are awesome but.. well.. I expect more when I have real issues with my home and Bill himself well.. he just doesnt cut it sometimes. What happened to advocating for your clients? I tend to doubt he even called anyone higher up about our coverage nor do I believe he really even knew why the personal appointment with him had been set up. I choose an agent based on HIS performance not his employees'.
