OMG. One of the best meals of my life. Girls night out, beginning to end (appetizer to dessert, wine with each) was about $90 with tip for me. Was it worth it? Absolutely!!!! Will bring my husband next time.

I came to Greensboro/High Point on business and brought my group to Sweet Basil's for dinner. It was absolutely FANTASTIC. I wish I were a local so I could visit the restaurant more often. The food was excellent, the service was perfect and the atmosphere of the little place was like no other. My group had a wonderful time and Sweet Basil's has left a lasting impression on each of us. I wish the restaurant nothing but success and a special thanks to the owner's husband who was kind enough to get my group there when we were lost!

I have eaten at Sweet Basil more than a couple times over the past couple months since being introduced to it by one of our wine purveyors. Not once have I been let down by the service, the food, or the atmosphere. My wife and I feel that this may be our favorite restaurant in the area. With me being a Executive Chef of a Country Club we eat out often to keep up with Culinary Trends in the area. This is a MUST, and I mean MUST in the Triad. SMALL, TRENDY, and TASTY. I wish the Owners and Staff the Best of Luck. Keep it Local and Fresh and the Clientele will Flourish. The best thing about the entire experience is the price. My wife and I ate and drank a four course meal for under $150 with tip. That is unheard of! See you at the wine dinner tomorrow night!

A lovely little organic restaurant.

This is a lovely little organic restaurant that is geared towards the more gourmet setting because of the portion size, presentation, and service.

The first time that I visited my friend and I were not even in what would be considered "business casual" attire but the staff was still very attentive and not bothered by this (we were unsure of the nature of the restaurant).

The food was very delicious and ORGANIC. Most of the food is from local farmers, a great thing to support.

The house that is it in is very cozy and sweet. Also, the waitress that we had was very nice.

I think that it is a lovely place to eat when not on a tight budget and hungry for some delicious organic dining.

Excellent food. We enjoyed drinks at the bar - bartender extremely knowledgeable, and helpful. For dinner, we were seated in the cozy back room which was very romantic. The atmosphere, can't be beat. chicken and salmon dishes were amazing as were the salads. Service was also excellent.

We will return.

We saw the review in the recent editon of the local paper for this new restaurant "Sweet Basil's". We decided to pop in for dinner on a Thursday night and once we arrived we realized we should have made reservations. We were told by a nice young lady that our wait maybe 30 minutes so we decided to have a glass a wine a the bar. The first thing we noticed was the cozy atmosphere and buzz around the dinning room. The bar is small but nice and the wine list was limited by excellent. We chose an old standby "Liberty Oak" but we noticed that they had many interesting wines and the bartender seemed to be very knowledgable. He even offered us tastings which was nice and unexpected; try that at a more commercial restaurant. We finally had a table and fresh bread was given to us by our waiter whom we knew from another restaurant we frequent often. He said he came to Sweet Basil's and loved it; he made several recommendations which we took. We noticed the bread was nice and that the second piece was not like the first. He mentioned it was gourmet bread that changed on a regular basis. He recommended two dishes and the quail for a appetizer. Wow! The quail was fantastic and when our main dishes arrived I was stunned at the size of my porkchop! My wife had the shrimp and grits and they were both very good plates. The size of our meal was adequate and I wasn't stuffed nor was I still hungry. It was just right. We skipped the dessert and settled for another glass of wine suggested by the bartender earlier.

Overall, the evening was great! The atmosphere was cozy, the food very good and the wine fantastic. The (owner?) came by our table to great us near the end of our meal and explained the organic concept and that each meal is prepared fresh per order. This we didn't know prior to dinner and the wait was about 30 minutes which is why I was glad we ordered the appetizer. At the end of dinner weren't full but we weren't hungry and I suggest making reservations for your visit.
Pros: Nice atmosphere, great food. Just right portions.
Cons: Because it's fresh ordering a appetizer helps cut down on the wait.
