Individual was contacted to assist with non-functioning oven. Arrived after promised time. Made diagnosis that igniter was out. Stated price would be $275. After I inquired about the nature of the charges (parts price, vs. labor, etc.) indiv. refused to disclose the price. He went down to 239. Again I requested breakdown of charges. He refused to do so and offered to do the work for $211. Again, I requested breakdown of charges. After this, he became belligerent and stormed out. Subsequent call was made to contact number (which turns out to be this indiv. as he is sole proprietor). He remained defiant and refused to offer explanation of charges. He also refused to disclose whether he was or was not owner of the company.
Overall this individual refuses to operate in an ethical manner and in good faith. Numerous claims on his website (and seemingly fabricated "reviews") gave the impression that his company was professional and ethical which, after this event, seems to be contrary to reality.

On December 24th we received a call for urgent service. We classified this call as an "emergency/holiday" service. We typically assume that when a customer calls for service on Christmas eve, that they are expecting to be paying extra for this kind of service. In hindsight, we regret that we did not advise the customer over the phone of the increased rates. Our technician tried to accommodate the customer by reducing the price to $211. Unfortunately his efforts to accommodate the customer by lowering the rates appeared to have been misunderstood. The customer appeared to have remained dissatisfied, stating that $150 was all that he felt the repair was worth to him. Understandably, this was a very uncomfortable situation for both parties: The tech who tried to accommodate the customer, and the customer who wanted to pay a reduced rate. Our technician did not even charge the $75.00 service fee that was initially agreed on. He wanted to give the customer the option to shop for the service rate that he was seeking. We regret this misunderstanding and with him well.
If you are trying to fix an appliance, I would definitely recommend using this company. Not only will you be confident that the job will be done, you will save money. He is very honest, knowledgeable, and personable, and I felt good about supporting a small local business. I originally had called a big chain to come fix my oven, but they wanted to charge me all these fees. That is why I tried Affordable. This company will not do that. You will get individual attention and a guarantee on the work. He has now fixed several of my appliances and I've been very happy with the work and service!
He is very curteous and punctual. He is also very knowledgable in what he does. He knows his machines! I would recommend him to anyone who needs their appliances repiared.
Highly recommend this company. Very polite and honest. They were also very accomadating in regards to time requests. Would definitely call again and have definitely saved money as well.
