My foodie friend chose this restaurant for his birthday party. And being the good friend that he is, he informed us in advance that Hakata's specialties are pork (pig's feet) and collagen. It'll be good for your skin, he said, trying to convince us. Hmmm, interesting. The restaurant describes themselves as Authentic Kyushu Japanese Soul Food. I went there that night feeling adventurous so I ordered small dishes of the Famous Homemade (Collagen) Gyoza and Grilled Pork Tonsoku (pig's feet). I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. Our large group ordered almost everything on the menu so, in a way, we made our own tasting menu of sorts. My friends particularly enjoyed their garlic fried rice and hot pots. A non-pork-eater among us had a little trouble sifting through the meat heavy menu but was able to find some solace in the sashimi, salad and chicken wings. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely be back... for my skin.

I went there, is it new style? Without any decoration, I was sitting at bar counter facing to a plain wall. 2 half pieces of slow cocked pork feet charged $8, mostly is fat and bone. Come on, is pork feet much more expensive than fresh tuna? The fried rice was so sticky and too strong tasty to finish. Don?t waste time and money.
