Lacking on all ends  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

service is slow, food is poor and inconsistant, and the place is a dirty dust filled mess. I used to come in alot when the place opened, I realize why I stopped coming in. This place could use some management to make sure the guests are happy, and satisfied. I never thought id say it but Butchers Hill needs Simons back, or someone else to take a great location and do something proper with it.

The Life of Reilly  5 Star Rating - World class

I know for a fact that I have never tasted better food in any restaurant that compares with the tasty dishes prepared at The Life of Reilly. I live in Ohio and the city I live in has many outstanding places to eat not to mention the Irish pups I have tried and won't go back to due to the food. The food I have eaten at this cozy, well maintained restaurants was delicious. The service was great, the drinks were delicious. Next time I am in Baltimore, I will skip the restaurants down town and head over to the Life of Reilly's were I know the preparation and quality will be the best!Looking forward to going back in April.

A fun place with great food  5 Star Rating - World class

I have been to the Life of Reilly a number of times in the last year. The food is always great and the people are even better. The chicken Chesapeake is my favorite and I love the crab cakes. Try it out you will like it!

More Guinness Stew  4 Star Rating - Very good

My wife and I relocated to the area a few months ago. One of our co-workers recommended the Life of Reilly for a great happy hour spot. Not only is it a great happy hour spot they serve great food as well. This place is definitely a neighborhood pub as the second you walk in you realize the patrons and staff all know each other well. Although initia.lly intimidating, it is also warm and welcoming. After being there only once, the staff recognized me as did several bar patrons when I walked in the door. I have to say it was oddly eerie, yet familiar. My wife loves their fish and chips and I love their Guinness stew. But, twice I've been there and it has run out. I also have been there a few times for lunch, what happened to the 15 minute menu? I realize that its popular, but can the kitchen please be more prepared? If you come with a few people, definitely share the loaded cheese fries! My only other complaint is while having dinner with my wife, sometimes I can here the bar patrons cheering (or booing) for various sports games; Can we please get a TV in the dining room so I can watch while eating my Guinness Stew?

Irishman who knows a good PUB!!  5 Star Rating - World class

I had the best time at The Life of Reilly this past St. Patrick's weekend!! I said weekend because they covered the entire weekend up to the actual day. The food was fabulous, the service superb. I would recommend this for anyone, for any occasion or just to grab a great dinner and drink. Great company and the owner is so accessible and just a really good guy.
Slainte and all the best!!

seconded  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Maybe the worst restaurant ive ever been to. the "chef" was visibly drunk at the bar, as well as the girl behind the bar. I had a mid rare burger, it came well done and unseasoned. my side was the home made sweet potato fries, and I watched the cook carry a bag of frozen fries from some area upstairs! As me and my boyfriend ate, we saw not 1 but 2 mice run across the small dining room floor! this place may have started with a bang, but definatly went down in flames. We went for the best bites fish and chips we saw on the website, but my boyfriend said they were soggy and greasy. The chips wernt anything more than french fries! I didnt try them but they didnt look so hot. Go to james joice for irish food, its a better bet. Im not a fan of foul language, drunks, and poor food... if you are a drunkin sailor, this is the place for you! Empty restaurants are empty for a reason, and this place is a prime example of a place that should remain empty. I put one star, but it deserves zero

food is terrible....bar tenders are great  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

I have been to this bar several times, ive eaten there once. Notice i called it a bar, not a restaurant. Go for the beer, and nothing else, I had the filet, for the price I dont expect to get a cut of meat that was obviously frozen for an extremely long period of time. horrible. Over cooked vegitables that tasted old, and some old fruit came as my side. The demi glace tasted like cardboard. My wife had the sheppards pie, are you kidding me? ground beef, lima beans, and some cardboard tasting gravy topped with extremely bland mashed potato. after having that food, I wont even be returning for drinks, the staff was great but the food is an absolute embarasment. The owner should be ashamed to present this fare to anyone.

Always a great place to eat or drink!  4 Star Rating - Very good

I visit the Life of Reilly's often and find the food and the atmosphere outstanding. Sunday brunch is always above average and inexpensive. The menu is mostly bar food but is not overly greasy and always very good. The loaded fries are excellent. The sandwiches are all very tasty and the burgers outstanding. Happy hour $2 drafts make for a fun time.

Hidden Gem  4 Star Rating - Very good

My girlfriend and I frequent The Life of Reilly for its friendly staff and patrons and its tasty but reasonably priced cuisine.

The menu boasts exquisite Irish fare including Guiness stew and a truly massive and outstanding shepherds pie. There are usually great specials too. A full dinner entree and glass of wine or pint of Guiness will rarely cost more than $20

The atmosphere is pleasant, particularly at the copper-topped bar that runs parallel to an exposed brick wall decorated with rugby jerseys. The dining room is nice too, but not necessarily the reason for one to go to an Irish Pub.

Life of Reilly's is somewhat hidden in Baltimore's Butcher's Hill neighborhood, but is worth the online map search for 2031 E. Fairmount Street, 21231.

Be sure to check out the well attended Wednesday night trivia contest, a favorite among locals.

Great Neighborhood Pub with Superb Food  5 Star Rating - World class

Whether you're in the mood for a Guiness and a Shepherd's Pie, a bottle of red and a tender filet or just a domestic beer and a good time, Life of Reilly Irish Pub is the place to be! It's only 1/2 mile from both Canton and Fells Point and only a mile from downtown Baltimore. One-of-a-kind outside seating right on the sidewalk makes for fun summer nights and even better fall brunches. You'll always have someone in the neighborhood to talk to and the owner (Crosby) frequents and mingles with all. Trivia on Wednesdays 8-11 is always a great time but get there early to order food and get a good seat either at a table or the bar. The winner receives $50 toward their bar tab! Second place $25. No one can beat this place! Very unique!
