I have had thousands of "massages" in my life time. Believe me, there is a huge difference between "massage" and what Heather, the owner of Somatic Therapy Associates delivers. As opposed to the typical rote routine most massage therapists provide, Heather views her clients as not just an anatomical structure but as a coalition of a mind and body that co-exist to provide turmoil or tranquility. Her skills to probe and restore tranquility to both the mind and body are remarkable! I have been a client of Somatic Therapy Associates for 5 or 6 years now. I have seen different therapists on the staff and they are all great. The staff offers a variety of different styles of therapy and they are all very professional and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them for you or your friends and family. I gave gift certificates from STA to a few friends for the holidays and they all loved it as well.
I most recently saw Jayne. Her work is very different and amazingly effective. I have had a problem with my shoulder for a long time that was starting to cause pain down my arm and wrist. She spent a lot of time focusing on my shoulders and upper back and really got them moving again. I couldnt believe how much better I felt after one session!

I have had a lot of massage and body work done over the years due to chronic lower back pain. It has always been hard to find a place that offered a relaxing massage but gave me long term pain relief.
The staff at Somatic therapy is top notch. They gave me a comprehensive evaluation. They noted all the areas of concern and have worked with me to give me lasting relief.
I would highly recommend these guys if you are looking for a nice relaxing massage in a beautiful location or to work with a staff that is committed to your long term wellness.
