At first I was a bit skeptical after I read the single star review from a frustrated "gifted" consumer, however I had outstanding service s I would of expected from such an upscale store.

Outstanding service, professional, effective and clear about stores policies.

My elderly mother was given a wave system by my uncle for Christmas. My mother found it too much, the buttons on the small remote too small and slide in CD player too hard to put in. So armed with the orginal entire reciept, I offered to drive it 30 miles into Portland to return it. (She does not drive anymore) First they just tried to upsell me into a more expensive unit, then after I said no, I asked just to return it.

They would not take it back because I did not have the original credit card of my uncle. They have the credit card in their system (isn't this a technology place?); why could they not just credit it back to that? But they said they needed the actual credit card, or else I could not return it. So I got to drive 30 miles back home and then do it over again to get the machine to my uncle so he can take it back. So I had to drive 120 miles to return this dumb thing.

So I am glad that my uncle only lives 30 miles away and not thousands of miles. Bose claims great customer service but this is just a empty marketing ploy. So NEVER buy presents there unless you are 100% sure they will NEVER be returned, because you can't return them.
