The college here is okay. I think the campus here looks nice. However, I do not really like the gym they have. They do have good equpiment, but the room does not look very nice.

Massachusetts College of Art is located right in the heart of Boston, two steps from the Museum of Fine Arts and the Boston Symphony. They offer a four year undergraduate and a two year graduate program for a huge array of subjects.

The staff is well known locally as well as nationally for their artwork, and their passion for teaching is not only guided by a need to pay the bills but the desire to pass on quality instruction to a future generation of artists.

'Massart' (as it is usually called by students and alum) offers all the amenities of a traditional college (a two floor library in the Tower building as well as a gymnasium and numerous student organizations) at a fraction of the price. It is the only state-funded art school in the entire country. As a result, residents of Massachusetts pay a little over $3,000, out of staters $8,850, and people who qualify as New England students (some majors don't apply) can squeak by with about $4,500 a year for credentials equivalent to those people are paying upwards of 20-30,000 a year for.

PROS: inexpensive, great faculty, location
CONS: state in control of funding - letters and rallies to assure low costs!
