Nils Osmar Acting and Filmmaking classes

I took the class called Filmmaking for Beginners, How to Make a Movie. Good class, worth the money, good information about camcorders and lighting. The class was small, twelve people, so lots of time for questions. Nils cut to the chase and showed us how films get made. There are classes out there that cost about ten times as much and cover the same ground. So yes I would recommend it. I am planning on taking the acting class and the acting in a movie class next quarter, they are also taught by Nils.

Nils is a great teacher. He is very supportive of creativity and is encouraging to the beginner. He has great experience and excitement for acting, which is contagious. He did a nice job creating a safe atmosphere in the class.

The class was life-changing in providing a community of encouragement for me and my creativity. Nils led the group in an excellent, gentle, respectful manner - I am thankful for his excellent instruction.

My wife and i both took Nils's classes. Here is her comment:

Nils Osmar created a safe atmosphere which enabled me to do things I'd never done before. He has a calm positive demeanor that is very supportive. The course was well structured with exercises that required participation and that were actually fun to do.

Here is my comment:

The honesty and openness of the instructor made the class a very safe environment. Everyone had a chance to ask questions, and the performances always received support and professional critisism from the instructor. I specially liked the friendship and support from the class members.

We both highly recommend Nils Osmar and all of his classes.

I took Nils's screenwriting class, and his and beginning acting class - totally loved them. They were a wonderful introduction. Fun, well organized. He's a great teacher, both very supportive and human, and very challenging in the best way. I highly recommend his classes.
