We LOVE this daycare! My children are 2 years old and 6 months old, and have been attending since March of 2009. I planned to go look at every daycare center within a 20 mile radius, but after visiting Open Arms (my 5th center), I was hooked. The administrative staff is wonderful - caring, loving, they know everyone's name and something about each child, they respond to your questions and send out weekly updates. The teachers are also fantastic. Most of the teachers have been in the field for a while (5+ years), and many of them have been with the center for over 3 years, which is hard to find. The teachers communicate well, understand the children, and are extremely loving. My daughter (2) runs to her teachers and hugs them, talks about them outside of school, and loves all her friends! One thing that amazes me about the school is the lack of problems they have. I have a friend whose child learned bad behavior at daycare and the problem is rampant in his classroom because of that. At Open Arms, I have never seen a child hit, bite, or push, though I know it happens, but because the teachers are so diligent, they are able to put the issue to rest immediately and avoid other children copying that bad behavior.
This is a FANTASTIC daycare!
