My first impression of the center was that it was a great place to nurture and teach a child. My two kids enjoyed their time there. They loved their friends, and teachers. The admin staff was questionable. Beware if your infant child spits up a lot from overfeeding a bottle, they will mistake it for vomit and send your child home. This happened to us almost weekly. There was no discoloration, no other illness, no fever. There seemed to be something not so genuine about SOME of the admin staff...some were great, and very friendly, then there were others that left little to be desired. From a child standpoint, I liked the center for my kids because they really enjoyed it, and learned a great deal, but the two stars lacking were due to the admin staff not being up to our standards. Teachers there receive an A+.

Both my kids have attended Open Arms in the last year and they have absolutely adored their teachers and made fantastic friends. I rarely hear about any bad behavior, so the teachers must nip it in the bud. The pre-K program is wonderful.

We LOVE this daycare! My children are 2 years old and 6 months old, and have been attending since March of 2009. I planned to go look at every daycare center within a 20 mile radius, but after visiting Open Arms (my 5th center), I was hooked. The administrative staff is wonderful - caring, loving, they know everyone's name and something about each child, they respond to your questions and send out weekly updates. The teachers are also fantastic. Most of the teachers have been in the field for a while (5+ years), and many of them have been with the center for over 3 years, which is hard to find. The teachers communicate well, understand the children, and are extremely loving. My daughter (2) runs to her teachers and hugs them, talks about them outside of school, and loves all her friends! One thing that amazes me about the school is the lack of problems they have. I have a friend whose child learned bad behavior at daycare and the problem is rampant in his classroom because of that. At Open Arms, I have never seen a child hit, bite, or push, though I know it happens, but because the teachers are so diligent, they are able to put the issue to rest immediately and avoid other children copying that bad behavior.

This is a FANTASTIC daycare!
