Top notch care at this clinic. Both doctors are the best and provide comprehensive care. The only negatives are the hours, their inability to hospitalize pets overnight. They are also quite expensive compared to others but you get what you pay for. I could do without the $3.00 medical waste charge that they recently started charging for injections. I assume that's for the needle disposal. You can fit a lot of $3 needles in one Sharp's container so that seems like a profit center for them.
Dr. Lisa is the only vet that I take my personal dogs to, as well as my recommendation to customers that are looking for a new vet. As a professional behaviorist I have had the opportunity to work with many veterinary facilities and Westgate is by far my favorite. Westgate is a brand new facility. It is a year old. All equipment is new out of the box. The staff is VERY friendly and considerate. Dr. Lisa Mikol-Doering, DVM CAN NOT be more caring dealing with both your pet and you. She makes you feel like her office is your home. I used my previous vet and I just simply felt like we were going through the motions so he can get his check. I used to dread bringing my three pets in for their routine checkups. Not here. I look forward to it now!
The communication between staff members is great. You never are standing around waiting for someone to find out what to do next. They have evening hours on some days. AND you can monitor your pets health record online as their files are able to be accessed online with a password. If you are looking for a new vet give Dr. Lisa Mikol-Doering, DVM and the staff at Westgate a try. You'll never leave.
Walked in to make appt. Greeted very nicely. On appt day, the staff was wonderful, friendly and loving to my puppy. It was very nice that the receptionist came from behind her desk to greet us and went to puppy right away to say hello. She picked him up and gave hugs and puppy gave kisses. When Dr. Doering came in, she was also as loving to my pup. It was nice that Dr. Doering takes the time with you explaining her plan for our pets health, and answered all questions and gave great tips on how we should take care of him. We are extremely satisfied.
