Nu U Medspa

I'm a 32 year-old female personal trainer. I work out 6 days a week. I'm in excellent health and very toned, however no matter how hard I work out my thighs, I just can't get them in the condition that I want. I have pushed and pushed myself for years, and have finally decided to do something about it.I got smart lipo in November and I finally have the shape I want. It was the easiest procedure! Three years ago I had breast augmentation and I thought the recovery would be something like that. But I will put it to you this way: The pain level from the augmentation was an 8.5 out of 10. In comparison, the pain level for Smart Lipo is a 1.5!! Although I push my clients to get themselves into their best possible shape, I know that there are some areas that will just never fully improve without a little help.Bottom line: I'm a big fan of smart lipo, and I'm a big fan of Nu U Med Spa!

I had my daughter 14 months ago, and although I've dropped the weight, I was unable to do anything about the looser skin. I briefly toyed around with the idea of a tummy tuck, but I knew I'd never actually bring myself to go the route of surgery.I heard good things about Nu U Medspa from my neighbor, so I went for a free consultation. That same day I bought a package of 9 skin tightening laser treatments (I dont remember the name of the laser). I was frustrated because I didnt see results during the first 3 treatments, but the medical esthetician explained to me about the process of rebuilding the collagen. By the 5th treatment, I started noticing a great improvement. I hadn't told my husband about getting the treatments, but by the 7th treatment, my husband noticed (he doesn't even notice when I change my hair color!). I still have one more treatment left, and I am very satisfied with the results.

I was devastated when I found out that I was pre-menopausal. 46 is still YOUNG in my mind.I gained weight around my midsection, I had horrible insomnia, and my libido took a nose dive, I was hesitant to try the drugs, particularly the synthetic hormones. I did a ton of research of my options, because I refused to believe that I could live the rest of my 40's like this, let alone the rest of my life.Everything changed 4 months ago when I went to Nu U Med-spa (The Nu U Wellness division) and I met with Dr. Shah, the natropathic doctor. She introduced me to natural remedies that I have never heard of before, such as hydrotherapy and Myers cocktails. I've already lost the 12 stubborn pounds, and I'm sleeping better than I ever have before. The "libido" change is a bit personal, but I will put it this way... My husband is going to be very pleased with his Valentines Day gift next week!! <wink wink>

I did Smart Lipo on my stomach, my love handles, and my bra fat.

Ladies, this is NOT the same as the traditional Liposuction our moms had to endure. This is the most advanced treatment for fatt removal!!

I am very happy with my results! The staff and the doctors are friendly, down to earth, and very knowledgable and professional!

I've been waiting 15 years for something like this! Thank you, Nu U!

I've had painful ingrown hairs on my bikini and underarms areas since I was 13 years old. I used to dread summer because I had no choice but to shave (waxing irritated it even more!).

Nu U Medspa is my new best friend, lol. Even after just one treatment of Laser Hair Removal, I saw a noticable difference!! The hairs were growing back so much slower and even thinner! I've done 5 treatments so far, and probably need 1 or 2 more! Now, for the first time ever, I'm disappointed that summer is over! I'm looking forward to buying sleeveless (gasp!) shirts next summer!

As far as price goes. I have friends that paid a little less than I did for their Laser Hair Removal. I don't want to name names, but I have two friends that went to two different "chains" of Laser Centers. I knew that my skin was extra sensitive, so I knew that it would be worth it to pay a little more! And thank goodness I did! And another HUGE difference between Nu U Medspa and the places my girlfriends went is the number of treatments! One of my friends is on her TWELFTH treatment and doesn't have half the results that I have after 5 treatments!! She is disappointed about having to spend more money, but I convinced her to give Nu U Medspa a try!

So, in my opinion, Nu U Med Spa may cost a little more money upfront, but in the long run, it is actually much more cost effective, and much less time consuming because you will need FEWER treatments and will get your results QUICKER.

Now that I'm almost done, I'm ready for some more NU U Medspa services! Even tho I don't have any problems with ingrown hairs on my legs, I'm going to start lasering the hair off! And they have a service called Smart Lipo that is an advanced version of Liposuction that I'm probably going to do on my stomach and love handles.

I've been going to Nu U Med Spa for more than a year now. I've had treatments in almost of all of their locations... I've been to Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Schaumburg, and Skokie.

The treatments I've received are Lipo Dissolve, Photo Facials, and Laser Hair Removal. My next treatment I'll be starting is Smart Lipo. I'm very excited about getting this.

My experience with everyone at Nu U, and with every treatment I've ever has been wonderful. Have their been times when they were running a little behind with appointments?... Yes, it has happened occasionally, but over all they are very great with scheduling, and they have great hours.

Their treatments are a little pricey, but you definitely get your moneys worth! And they do have a zero percent interest payment program (This is what I'm going to do for my Smart Lipo treatments).

I plan on being a life-long customer at Nu U. Even tho my skin is great now because of the Photo Facials, I'm still going in once a month for maintenance with Chemical Peels or Microdermabrasions. And slowly but surely, I'll be getting laser hair removal on all of my body parts!

I highly recommend Nu U Medspa to anyone who is willing to invest in themselves, and who wants better, healthier skin... or any type of improvement.

They claimed they are all owned by the same "physician" but they really are not. Service was okay but sales pitch was so strong, very pushy, "limited time offer" always expired the day I visited for new treatments. Photo facials were hardly effective (does not work on broken capilliaries even though they said it would and switched out the laser end piece), laser standards not followed, and super expensive. They do a great job at making the cost sound affordable but $1800 package (must get the peels they say) at 0% interest over 18 months is still $1800! Management changes all the time. I like the nurses and staff giving the treatments- it is not their fault the treatments do not work, but they are over promised on results and clearly underdelivered.

Sorry, I'm not 100% sure how to spell this... Photo Facials or Foto Facials, is the treatment I am reviewing here.I used to go to a day spa to get chemical peels and microdermabrasions, but my friend told me that I can get better quality at a med spa then I can get at a day spa... So I went and checked out Nuu medspa.I was going to do the chemical peels, but during my consultation, I learned about Photo Facials, and how they work. This seemed even better!! So I purchased a package of the Photo Facials and of Chemical Peels. I did get a Chemical Peel that day. It was similar to the ones I've had before at the dayspa, but I noticed some differences. When I go to the day spa, it is more about pampering and relaxation (which of course I do enjoy), but at the medspa, it was relaxing, but I can tell the goal of the medical esthetician was to FIX things with my skin. She asked me a bunch of questions about how I want my skin to improve and what type of results am I looking for, and she asked me about the products Im using on my skin (some I had to throw away, but some were the right ones for me).I came in two weeks later and did the photo facial. (I used to lay out in the sun A LOT so I'm getting rid of all that sun damage I did!). And I had been getting acne breakouts, especially around that time of the month.I've gotten 4 chemical peels and 3 photo facials, and I LOVE it. I've gotten lots of compliments on my skin, and I'm sending all of my friends and co-workers to nu u medspa!So far, I've had 3

I am currently getting laser hair removal treatments (I did my second treatment last week). It seems like people write reviews only when they have something to complain about (I've been in the customer service industry for many many years), so I've decided I'm going to take the time and write reviews when I get good service!

Anyways... I went in for a consultation (no consultation fee involved like some other places). The woman was very nice and explained everything to me. She told me that I would need multiple treatments because of the different cycles that the hair grows.
I was going to pay for the treatments as I went along, but I decided to buy the package of 6 treatments because I could get it cheaper that way.
I got my treatment that same day. I did notice a little difference after the first treatment because my hair took longer to grow back. I can't wait to finish the treatments and not have to shave my legs again!!!
