Great location, close to everything. Last week, I was at the Farmers Market and after we made it through the crowds, my girlfriend and I just wanted a quiet spot to enjoy the day. We wandered over to the Wine Bar and it was great. During the week, it can get crowded but on the weekend, our waitress told us the work crowd is gone and they rarely are crowded. Plus parking is free with validation on the weekend For us, great service, great wine and a nice cheese platter was a perfect mid day treat. I definitely will be back. The service was great and plenty of wines to choose from. It's a great place for a Saturday afternoon. We sat at the bar and had a great cheese platter with a recommended wine that was great. This is a perfect place to go after work for drinks with friends or coworkers, and it's conveniently located. Posted 02/06/08 at 9:31pm Good wine, bad service, loud atmosphere My friends and I went to the Wine Bar looking for a nice evening of sampling a few wines and catching up. The wines were good....when we could get served. After the first glass we had to track a waitress down. At one point I went up and ordered from the bar. The design of the space amplifies all noises, so in order to catch up we had to yell at each other. They had a nice selection of cheeses and meats, but no fruit. When drinking wine I prefer my cheese on sliced fruit rather than bread. And for those counting carbs bread is a no-no. All in all it's not a place I would go back to for after dinner drinks. If I need a special bottle of wine I'll stop by the shop. Each time, it was if the servers and the manager were more interested in speaking and carrying on with each other than to paying attention to customers. It's a shame, because this location is perfect for people who work in the financial district, and the wine and cheese selections are always great. The poor service, however, make these facts null.
