Reviews for Fine Art Massage

Ratings_icons Massage therapist who really knows her stuff!

Susan L.

I had very stubborn knots from sitting in front of the computer - so severe that it would result in terrible migraines. I would try to stretch but the muscles were so knotted that stretching couldn't produce any results. Based on the reviews here, I saw Candace and I must agree with the others that she really knows her stuff! She listened/asked regarding my pain and she knew exactly what was needed to unravel the knots. She knows all about the trigger points and how all the muscles connect to each other. I was planning on going for at least 2-3 more appointments, but she did such great work in the 1 1/2 hours that I am feeling great and pain free! I am able to maintain by regular stretching - She is AMAZING! I highly recommend her!!!

I've been massaged by a variety of practitioners for over 10 years. One session under Candaces warm, capable hands was enough to know that she had found her calling!

I am a runner and have had multiple surgeries. Regular sessions of Candace's superior technical expertise keep my muscles supple and my body balanced.

Candace makes you feel good, but it is not just a feel-good massage - she knows the human body and does the deep tissue work that allows you comfortable function day to day. She is flexible in addressing your current aches and pains.

Candace is knowledgeable and practices holistic healthcare, cares about her clients, and works very well with other health care providers. She provides a peaceful, respectful atmosphere, interesting conversation and a smile. She is simply the best and worth every penny - Thank you! Sarah W.

Ratings_icons Great massage.

I haven't been to Candace's new location. However, I can comment on the massage I received from her previous to her move. It was fabulous! Candace has a great touch and is very professional. Her old space was calming and warm and I suspect the same is true of her downtown digs. Definitely worth the price.

Fine Art's Downtown Digs replied on 01/30/08
Alisa, you must come see the downtown space! It's on the 8th floor in a corner unit; one wall is all glass windows providing natural light with a beautiful view of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams during daylight and city lights at night. It's very quiet because the building is new and "green built". Ceilings are high, and the entry has bamboo flooring creating a warm, inviting, peaceful feeling. I think you would love it. Thank you for your feedback, Candace
Ratings_icons A Very Rewarding Experience

Gaye D.

I would have never believed I could feel so much better after just one massage. Besides being so relaxing, the best part was that my neck pain was gone. I sit in front of a computer all day, and I found out that I didn't know how to really relax. I highly recommend a massage from Candace. She really knows what she is doing and is extremely good at what she does.

Mouse Potato Syndrome replied on 01/30/08
Gaye, your "computer posture" issues are on the top ten list of problems I address in my practice. It's common for clients to blame themselves for not having good posture. The fact is that when we sit for long periods, our muscles begin to assume sitting position, i.e., some muscles shorten, others lengthen to "fit" sitting position. Soon the body's posture is dictated by this shortening & lengthening imbalance. In extreme cases, pain results. Your neck pain subsided because I was able to lengthen the shortened muscles which allowed the screaming overstretched muscles to assume their natural lengths. It's fun working with you and seeing your delight at the changes in your body. Thank you so much for your business and feedback. Candace
Ratings_icons LIFE TRANSFORMATION

Charles S.

I had 2 back injuries while serving in the military. I had seen dozens of health care practitioners (military and civilian, american and western) for over 10 years attempting to find out what would alleviate the lower back pain. The pain was such that I could not sleep lying down on a bed in any position, and had relegated myself to sleeping in a Lazy Boy chair for a few years. The most recent referral, to a neurosurgeon from my orthopedic doctor, had recommended a double fusion (which I refused).

Fortunately, I found Fine Art Massage, and my life was dramatically changed. Within the first 2 visits, I had experienced a relief unknown to me in the past 6 years. I can now sleep in a bed, and my general day-to-day dealing with my LBP is greatly reduced.

I highly recommend Fine Art Massage.

Saved from Surgery! replied on 01/30/08
Charles, I am so glad I was able to help you avoid going under the knife for the chronic pain that you had been experiencing. I'm still amazed at how often simple soft tissue work directed at specific muscles can profoundly affect a person's quality of life. I wish I could see all orthopedic doctors' patients prior to their recommendations of cutting or fusing. Thanks for sharing your story! Candace

I feel very lucky to have Candace working on my aches and pains. I am a tennis professional in need of body work often. Candace has been extremely helpful in preparing me physically and mentally, moving me in a positive direction. I would highly recommend her if you have any specific muscular pains, and/or someone who just wants a relaxing full body massage.

Counteracting Effects of Tennis & Golf replied on 01/30/08
Siamak, as you know competitive tennis and the recreational golf that you play are very asymmetrical sports. Muscles on one side of the body overdevelop and over contract in comparison to muscles on the opposite side which causes stress on the joints, especially the ones in the spine. Your aches are alleviated with the bodywork you receive here because your spine gets to resume it's natural position when specific work is directed at specific muscles. Best of luck to you in your next tennis competition! Candace

I have lived all over the country. And I have been to some of themost top rated spas in the country (i.e. La Costa, San Diego, CA.).I have never had a more thorough and effective massage in my entire life. Candace was very professional, she knew the bone andmuscle structure, and did a masterful job explaining so a laymanlike me could understand what she was doing. I will be back, andI highly recommend Fine Art Massage.

Ratings_icons I have never felt better!

George A.

The massages from Candace at Fine Art Massage went beyond the traditional relaxing rub to a truly therapeutic exploration. She worked out some very real problems in my shoulder that had lingered long after a bicycle mishap.

The atmosphere was warm, clean and relaxing. Candace was gracious and comforting, ready with advice on improving my stretching and posture to alleviate the aches and pains of normal living.

She offers the best massage I have ever experienced... - George
